: MediaTakeOut.com has learned that former R&B great D'Angelo has been fined $1,500 and given a six-month suspended jail sentence after pleading guilty to driving with a suspended license and driving under the influence
The charges stem from a September 2005 Virginia car accident, which left him and his passenger Lynne Sellers injured. According to reports, the R&B singer was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was ejected from the vehicle.
In addition to the fine, Judge Paul Cella, from the Powhatan General District Court in Virginia, suspended D'Angelo's driving license for 12 months.
But the R&B star managed to escape being convicted of the more serious offense of reckless driving. According to Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney Richard Cox, D'Angelo was not charged because Sellers, the passenger at the time of the accident and the prosecutor's key witness, did not show up to court.
This isn't D'Angelo's first run in with the law. MediaTakeOut.com has learned that in April 2005, he pleaded guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of marijuana following.

Well I never said he was ugly cause he's not....I happen to like my men thick too but it's a far cry from seeing him in the video compared to now. But it goes to show that there are more important things in life...this man was straight ejected from a car and is living to tell about it. A lucky man indeed! I'm just glad he didn't get killed...I hope it's a wake up call.
