: Looks like entertainment insiders have a new name to fear. MediaTakeOut.com has learned that a former publicist to the stars Jonathan Jaxson is on a quest to out gay and bisexual celebrities. On his blog, jonathanjaxson.blogspot.com, the Hollywood insider said the following:
Why do many of the other sites post 'blind items' that give a hint to someone being gay or drug users without actually saying his/her name? Most of the general public already knows about some of these stars' sexuality i.e. Samantha Ronson, Lance Bass, Da Brat, Queen Latifah, etc. Rumors of Will and Jada both being gay/bi have circulated for years. Strangely enough...I had it on numerous credible sources that Eddie Murphy was inamoured of transvestites LONG before it broke in the news a few years ago...as far back as 1989. As for the "excess in Hollywood" I used to work in the film industry. I think because they get away with so much, there is a lot of experimentation. You try it, you like it, you’re hooked. OUTING IS IT FOR THE SAKE OF THE COMMUNITY AT LARGE OR SIMPLE HATE?
As with most people, we are sometimes shocked or pretty much knew already but really did not care one way or the other. However, there are some people feels “OUTING” of other people’s lives (specifically the ones that are in the public eye) is an honest thing to do. Every time I hear one of these stories, I have flashbacks of my earlier days in High School. When I knew I had an attraction for same sex, I did not want my business to become public knowledge. Simply because I did not know how to handle the questions, reasons, and of course those shadow minded individuals who felt my way of life would hinder their lifestyle if I were in their present. Far too often, I have seen people abused in every aspect you can name because of they way they walk, talk or act. While, I can certainly parallel this treatment with the civil right struggles of 60s and during slavery. What a person do, or whom they like and how they like it, is their personal choice. No ones reserve the rights to publicly “OUT” what a person do in the privacy of their bedrooms. Regardless if I am attractive to that person or not….if that person choose to live a private life under whatever conditions…it is their choice and they deserve the same respect as if it was us. I do not care what a person do in their bedrooms….they are deserving of their privacy and respect.
It is not going to help the community one or another if I learned all the people in Hollywood was gay as a picnic basket. I mean, really what impact will it make on the gay community when celebrities come out of the closet and sit on the porch with “US?” Those that want to come out will they feel then need to do so and not by public force. Spend less time worrying about celebrities’ bedrooms activities and more time getting financial support for programs that directly affect our community such as HIV/AIDS, BREAST CANCER, GAY HOMELESS, AND EDUCATION…THIS IS WHERE WE NEED FINANICAL ENERGY…NOT ON OUTING.
