: You'll recall that last year MediaTakeOut.com was the first news source in the world to tell you that Keyshia Cole was engaged to rapper Young Jeezy. Well now Keyshia tells Essence Magazine how her engagement fell apart.
Of course in the interview Keyshia didn't mention Jeezy by name. But since y'all are MediaTakeOut.com readers, you know exactly who she's talking about. Here's what Keyshia told Essence:
“I just couldn’t do it. It’s weird. After this guy proposed to me, I was like, dang, this is everything a woman lives for: to be married, with a ring, to be able to represent something.Aww too bad. They were our favorite hood coupleBut for me, it was the opposite. I was scared. When you get married, you become one; you don’t live just for yourself anymore. I’m just not ready for that. I’m not done with my goals in life. What’s the word when you just kind of fall back and let your man do the man thing? Submit? I’m all jacked up on that word. I just couldn’t submit.
But I loved him. That’s the crazy thing about it. It’s been hard because I really missed that child.”

Let me let yall in on a lil secret. I am from Oakland. Down the street and around the corner from where keesh lived..even bought weed off her lil set..but aye, yo...in the Town..WE DONT NEVER GET MARRIED. Those dudes and the females are soooo tryflin' its rediculous. I think its because in East Oakland, everyone is out for themselves. The girls just tryna get a n!igga who riding on DUBS, a dude who can get their nails and hair done, and go out to the club and so all the chicks can see who they with.
