i live here in miamidade and the cops dont play here but they have a lot to be prepared for everyday they leave ther homes cause n!ggas down here are crazy.and i mean crazy it to much crime and killing here and you can get killed if u get in road rage with one of these crazy a$$ drivers there are at least 4 bank or gas stations robberys everyday and very quick tempers down here.

but i can say i represent and was born in one of the most beutiful and live places in america MIAMI....to me i live here in paradise it just the high crime.no tornados,earthquakes,floods,blizzards....just sun and winds. ive been to new york and it is so nasty up there make me thank god i live here.im so lucky

I'm glad that's over, that is sad!!! I'm from Miami,too and people should not feel terrorized in their communities. Urban Miami is HARD and folks DON'T play!! Home invasions, bank robberies, road rage, muggings, don't forget the German tourists stuff--prostitution, drug killings... etc. to continue to be the "she-she it" place it is, there should be even a STRONGER police presence!!!And yeah, some cops ARE dirty... they always have been with all of the temptation of easy cash with the 'cane game. I LOVE MIAMI the good and the bad..but you can't draw down on the cops, kill one and think it's all good. My Mom could have been caught in the crossfire. Give the police a BREAK... Hats off to you today METRO DADE POLICE, CITY OF MIAMI POLICE, GABLES, OPA LOCKA and all of the other enforcement folks that protect natives and visitors in my city. Glad dude is DEAD!!

Yeah Miami is no joke, I am priviledged to live opposite the side of where they make CSI and music videos (South Beach). I told my husband what happened while we were on the phone early in the day and I said "he might as well kiss it good-bye", and what do ya know. Aside from the fact that my mother is a police officer... I already knew he wasn't going to make it out of this one alive. Its just sad because the loss of lives...his and the officers.
