And now MediaTakeOut.com can exclusively report to you that rappers Jay Z and Nas will be going head-to-head - with both artists releasing albums on November 6th.
Jay Z's album will be a full studio album and Nas' will be a compilation of old and new tracks.
Normally, we'd say that old camel face would outsell Nas by about 500,000 units. But Jay always seems to bring the best out of him. So this thing could get interesting...

I don't know about the others, but I am well aware of who the parent company of UMG is - I used to own shares in the company. Quite frankly, no one in the U.S. is caring about worldwide sales because they are American artists and this is an American battle. I'm sure VIV put out that press-release to give Curtis a boost in the media. However, it is nice to know the worldwide sales figures.

@77Born, I agree with artist should focus on EP's. Actually back in the day most LP's only had at the most 9 songs. Michael Jackson's Thriller only had 9 songs on it and I think Purple Rain the same. I think some LP's were even less than that and they were considered LP's. Even rap LP's back in the day only had about 8 or 9 joints and that was enough because that's all you're probably going to like or listen to anyway. They should also start giving other people a fuggin chance and stop makin it so fuggin hard for people to make it in the music business because there are a lot of talented people out there that can out do any of these famous muthafuggas and they damn well know it too. IF this is true, I think all the artists in the record industry are dumbfounded by the numbers put up by Kanye and 50. Together they sold ALOT of record. These people are not dumb.
