kemi--so she is a singer & not a politician? interesting. i would love to know more about her. & dont look ur nose down at us because we dont know who she is. its very rare that african artists are marketed in the US, so most of us, black, white are otherwise wouldnt know her if our livs depended on it. but i would like to know more after reading what you wrote.

I visited Patti Boulaye's site and it was astounding. I mean a real treat! Not only is Patti gorgeous, but a superiorly talented goddess. This is a welcomed introduction, Kemi. I am a HUGE fan of world music or international artists. Lately, I’ve been listening to a number of West African artists – Angelique Kidjo, Salif Keita, Kaissa, Africando (favorite Salsa group), Cesaria Evora (Cape Verde). Others include Les Nubians (France), Zap Mama (Belgium), and Ronald Rubinel (France). I even listen to an East Indian artist whose stage name is Apache Indian (Steve Kapur). He sings reggae. I love how he fused Hindu and Reggae influences to spread spiritual messages. Most of these artists are also on my MySpace friends list. I'm pretty eclectic when it comes to music because I look for artists who heal and uplift my soul. Music is a very powerful and enchanting energy (sound). It affects you physically, mentally and spiritually. One must be very careful in this day and time to the music that he/she subjects themselves to.
and I just checked out the website that Kemi gave and she was absolutely beautiful when she was younger. Heck she is in her 50's and ya'll idiots at MTO compare her to a 25 year old...com'on!
