: Looks like there isn't going to be a Showdown Of The Divas this November. A few weeks ago MediaTakeOut.com reported to you that singers Mariah Carey and Mary J Blige were both set to release their albums on November 20th. Well it now looks like Mariah's backed down.
According to the Island Def Jam website, Mariah's album has been pushed back until December.
Don't let her get off the hook that easy Mary, push your album back too. We want to see this battle happen!!!!

I like both ladies and I think they respect each other. I like how Mariah was in Mary's "No More Drama" video. They both had albums that dissapointed and they both had albums that blew the charts away. But some of you are sleeping on Mary. Mariah is a pro at getting #1 albums and singles, but this last year Mary has blown up in the pop world with the Grammys (highest nominated this this year w/ 8 nods), the commercials (SuperBowl commercial for Chevy), her guest appearance on Entourage, etc. The pop world is opening up to Mary so it would have been an interesting battle to say the least...but they tried this back in the day with Whitney and Mariah...Just let these strong women get that money because at the end of they day R&B and Hip Hop still rule the music charts. These battles are getting silly. You didn't hear about a Jill Scott vs. Keyshia Cole thing and both of their albums come out today. I wonder how they will do..hmmmm ;-)
The artist vs. artist template works well with hip hop because its about larger than life personalities battling each other like world championship wrestling. As long as she doesn't try too hard and just naturally do her, Mariah might go diamond on this one. Mary is gonna have to not rely on covers and translate that love in that beautiful heart of hers into song.
mimi just didn't want to embarrass mary or anybody else. mariah is the best selling female artist of all time. don't believe it? then look it up. google "best selling female" and you will get mariah and celine. but she is GRACIOUS. whenever she wins an award she almost ALWAYS thanks her competition.
