KaptainFury-Black women can grow their hair long but unlike men--women start processing, straightening and dyeing their hair by the time theire in elementary school. so w/ all that being done to it, its bound to have some problems staying long & healthy. every black woman i know has hair breakage from all that.

if you notice kaptain, women twist their hair or have their hair in locks, like myself, tend to get their grow quickly and long. that's because afrikan hair wasn't meant to be processed. the base of the hair is twisted, so if you put the hair in the same direction, the hair will grow quicker, well at least that's why my hairdresser explained to me.
