: MediaTakeOut.com learned that yesterday, during an interview with Hot 97's Miss Jones In The Morning show in New York, NFL running back Thomas Jones was asked whether he and actress Meagan Good were expecting a baby. Thomas' response was "No Comment." Not "no," but "no comment."
Now in this business a "no comment" is usually just about as good as a "yes." But, in this case, we really hope it isn't. That's because as shown below, MediaTakeOut.com has dozens of recent photographs that show Meagan carrying cigarettes. And sources tell us that she's lit up as late as yesterday.

I'm getting really tired of the folks who make ignorant comments abt her not being married. Have it ever occured to you tht marriage is not for everyone? Better yet, there is a 48% divorce rate out there tht causes most married folks to fall into poverty due to splitting their assets up. Is it a pre-requisite to be married and then have a child and then get divorced, not saying tht this is what would happen if she were to get married. Sometimes you have to think outside of the box black people. Not everything is for everyone!!
It all stems back from what you believe. If you were taught to drop babies and not worry about marriage then that wouldn't be on your list of things to do. And yes alot of marriages end up in divorce but at least with a ring you have a good chance of going into the situation with a little bit more assurance (notice i say a little bit) that your children will be in a more stable enviroment then him coming to pick the kids up every other weekend and you doing thinks solo dolo. Marriage is nothing that should be entered into lightly if you want it to work. My thing is why have all of these damn babies if you just want to enjoy each other and fuc then do that but once the babies come it is down hill from there especially if this is somebody you planned on having to deal with for the rest of that child's life. Pregnancy will clear up alot of unanswered questions for women that is when a nicca shows his true colors be it good or bad.
As i said before it is all how you were brought up. I am a christian and was taught that the sanctity of marriage was important and when you find that someone you pray and find out if that is what God has in his will for you. But i have to keep it real i didn't do either of that and had 2 children out of marriage and yes i can see the difference from the way i am raising my children and the way i was raised by both of my parents. But i guess my question is do you think there is a difference in a planned pregnancy and you know that you are going to be a single mother then being pregnant thinking you have a support system and then you find out that you are by yourself. And i never said that you can't have well-educated, socially-responsible children because i am doing it right now but i never planned on doing it by myself though.

I co-sign with hotbunny. In every single MTO post about a single celebrity woman who is pregnant there is at least five posters who claim that b/c the soon-to-be mom is single she's "played herself". I wonder to myself if these posters live in the same world that I live in. Every day there is a report on how marriage is at an all time low hence, causing divorce rates to be lower. Some people are finally beginning to see the light abt this institution.. it's a very difficult and almost impossible union. Those who are a part of it are struggling every day to make it work and even question if they made a mistake. Don't get me wrong I respect and think it's honorable to be married but it's not the end all to everything. The marriage hype is mostly propogranda and we don't realize it until we're already in it.

I don't think anyone is disputing the fact that people can live their own lives and do what they want to do. And yes there are a bunch of single parent homes and that is the reason our young kids are in the situation that they are in now because of too many single parent homes. Look at all of the young black men in jail who strive to be dope boyz and alot of them come from single family homes. Why because there daddy wasn't there or because their mom is the one doing it all so yeah people can do what they want to do but there are always consequences. So as long as women know what comes with being a single then HEY DO WHAT YOU DO!
Education is the key to our young black boys having a future. There are many white households where the mom is the head of the households yet their young boys are not in jail or running rampant. This is because mom (and dad) are educated and most likely professionals and can afford a good daycare/nanny/babysitter while she does her thing at work and the babies are safe. What good does a two family household do if the parents are constantly bickering and fighting with each other? It just traumatizes the children when the household is broken up. I don't know what the statistics are regarding children of broken homes by way of divorce but I'm guessing that these children would have been better off if their parents had remained single. Too many people give their personal power to society and their demands.
Then it goes back to my initial statement don't have a baby with somebody you aren't ready to raise a child with!!! Simple as that! Let's keep it real how many educated black women can afford a nanny to watch their kids or help them out in the household while they do their thing. But you know what they would be better off not producing children together at all so when you have gotten tired of this person or it just isn't working anymore you can bounce without looking back but with children involved it becomes much more complicated so my point STOP HAVING BABIES BY SOMEBODY YOU DON'T SEE YOURSELF BEING BOTHERED WITH THE REST OF YOUR LIFE!!!!
Atlfinest, why don't u practice what you preach? You had ur fun and now you don't want others to have theirs? You can't force your narrow-minded views on everyone. The fact of the matter is that some people prefer to be single mothers because they get the best of both worlds. There I said it. I know it's not PC and some people's little minds can't understand it but there are women who want the freedom of being single along with the joy of motherhood without a pesky husband around(some husbands are pesty) and they do a good damn job at it and raise great kids.
Others on the other hand, want the comfort and security of marriage before having children. Pick what works for you and do it right.

I know I'm 19, I also never been in love but I don't see the point. I don't think you need marriage to secure a realtionship or to provide a stable home for children. There are married couples that have kids, and don't bring a healthy enviroment for the kids. I also know single parent that are so good, that they are two parents in one, and give their kids what they need. Also I feel like when I make kids someday, I can do it by myself. Now, I know that sounds ignorant but I feel like I can do it... but maybe when I'm older and have more experience, my viewpoint on marriage will change, maybe not, oh well, And...I'm out.
I love being married but its not for everyone and we all want to do things right but it dont always work that way. I know this girl that wanted to do right(get married first) and had her first child at 39 going on 40(who is the hell want that?)Will there be another? She is 43!! Why?
