This is upsetting because Prodigy is one of the best rappers from New York. He never stepped his game up still spittin' gun talk. That's what has made a lot of New York rap very boring as of late. Known for the most exquisite lyricism and wordplay, New York rappers got more to offer than talking about robbing and shooting nayas. The Jay Z diss was detrimental but they survived that. The True Life ordeal was a motherfreakin' tko for them nayas. Nas had to raise up out of just talking about the streets. Albert should have been described life in other parts of the world in his rhymes or at least express the desirability of living in Queensbridge. |
