: If you're wondering why talk show host Tyra Banks has been acting even more over the top than usual this season, we may have the answer. MediaTakeOut.com has learned that the former model has been consistently losing viewers for the past year or so. In fact, according to the latest Nielsen numbers, Tyra's audience is down more than 50% from its high.
And the folks over at Tyra's show are definitely feeling the pressure. One insider told MediaTakeOut.com, "There's a lot of added pressure to come up with outrageous topic ideas ... Tyra feels it too." The insider added, "We're at the point where we'll do just about anything to stop [the audience] from tuning us out."

That's b/c this bitch is a phony! I was feeling her when she first did the talkshow thing but since then it's like her show became too boring. Then when she do have a celeb on her show, she flips the interview to be all about her and she don't know how to ask them question w/o being goofy! I think since she moved the show to NY it probably will pick up slowly, but the majority of her guest and celebs were from the L.A area.
Wow!!! I dont really watch talk shows, I had know idea she had been on three years. I saw the show she did with SUPERHEAD and she was kind of rude to her. The other few shows I saw She had been her playing down her beauty and trying to appear less attractive. That show is for chicks who act like her and you know what I mean.

She has an entertainment talk show, Oprah has a more "talk" Talk Show. I love Tyra and her show I think she tries hard to help women and young girls learn to love themselves AS IS. As far as being fake yall are still judging Tyra on some lifestyle she led years ago? ALl of us have things we did IN THE PAST that we no longer do and are not proud of. So why are yall judging her and calling her fake? She seems to have learned from her mistakes and moved on. Also yall forget Tyra is from Cali, she's an LA girl and no disrespect to my LA peeps on here but the LA girls tend to be more silly and giddy (I know there are expections, dont nail me to the cross!) .As opposed to an East Cost NYC girl who is more edgy and less likely to act all silly and goofy on National TV. I think Tyra is funny I find her show very entertaining.
@HoneyBeez it is quite easy to act white..i mean like oh my god (said in the classic becky voice)...come on now, let's stop pretending races don't have distinct personalities cuz i'm black and i know black people be on some different ish but i love it (so i guess there's no personality difference between paris and keyshia cole then)...regarding tyra, i'm surprised as well that she lasted this long, when it first started coming on i only gave her about 10 episodes, but she wants to much to make everything about her and how great she is and her contributions to this and that and never ending modeling stories (just like on ANTM) everything that happens...i remember this one time in paris when i was blah blah blah...that's y she's coming on at 11 on oxygen now
man tyra is to damn pretentious. she makes everything about her. plus she trys way to hard to be relateable. and she isnt. she just comes off as being preseed and forced. then shes the biggest hypocrite ever. she doesnt interview people she interrogates them. wont somebody put her ass on blast about her relationships that she always gets emotional about. she always dodges ?s about her personal business, but she is quick ? others about theres. shes nosey as hell.
next, she goes on about how women should be proud of there bodies, then she goes on to lose about 20 pounds. practice what u preach. this braud is phony and fake as they come. somebody needs to put her on the hot seat. now that shes in ny she be acting all outrageous her (behavior) that is. remember her tirade about kiss my ass, then a few weeks later she was thinner. yeah aight tyra. furthermore, she doesnt want anybody that looks great to win on her show. Nick and Yaya were fine. But she couldnt bare either one of them winning so she aint pick em. shes just whack. this is the reason that she has more celebs on her show tryna be outrageous, becuz its for the sake of her show. and last thing last u say u are done modeling aight then let it go, stop talking about and still doing it. everything always has to be about her. she just needs to sit her goofy ass down somewhere... she even admitted that she gets envious sometimes.

During each brake in taping she never spoke a word to the audience and once the show was on she was Ms.Smily!! WTF???!!! I was expecting a little more of a Down to Earth Person!! But she was very icy and she did a makeover show and didnt even give any giveaways!!! Here's a little info TYRA, if u want 2 help Your ratings learn to treat your guest better!! Having them wait for 5 hours before taping a corny ass 1 hour show doesn't help! and how about giving something back to the people who wait all that time to sit in a studio! The View has good ratings and they were very generous to me when I went!
I could have predicted this ratings dip from the very Tyra's very first show - her shyt is HORRIBLE! She comes off insincere and quite often hostile toward her guests. Yeah, she's overly dramatic n ANTM, too, but the premise of that show warrants the extra drama. But the talk show is just awful - kinda reminds of of Tempestt Bledsoe's weak azz talk show... just painful to watch.
I am not surprised! I have only watched her shows a few times, and it is boring. Her show is targeted towards rich or upper, middle-classed people. Her ass bashes Superhead for writing a book, but doesn't bash Nicole Richie for the dumbass [EXPLETIVE] that she does(such as driving drunk). I remember one show, when she had prostitutes from the Bunny Ranch located in Las Vegas. Her ass did not bash any one of them. What the [EXPLETIVE] is wrong with this picture? I mean damn, if you gone bash one whore, then you might as well bash all of them. In addition to that, she is always finding a way to make the show about herself or her former career as a model. Nobody wants to hear that [EXPLETIVE] all the time. Therefore, it is time to throw in the towel.
it's a trip reading all these comments. personally, i still like Tyra. she reminds me of a tall, goofy older sister. i guess i don't know enough about her to know if she's fake or not, though mediakat07's and brooklynzjz's comments worry me. i hope she's not as fake as it seemed. maybe she had alot on her mind, like ratings.
i agree that she can sometimes be judgemental toward her guests, and she also can put them on the spot, and sometimes not letting guests finish the point they were trying to get across, which maybe has to do with her still learning the whole talk show host thing. those times, it can make the show alittle frustrating to watch, but i think it's something that can be worked on. she needs to let people have their say at times, we're still going to see their ignorance or genius or whatever.
i haven't seen her show lately. it used to come on the fox channel here, i'm not sure where it moved to. Trya seems silly and fun, and seems to care about people, about women loving themselves.....at least i kinda want to believe that.
She turned everyone off by only having shows about her weight. Tyra should get over the fact that she's not the next top model and never was. Ebony should be ashamed of themselves by having Trya and Kimora represent as top models and never mentioning Beverly Johnson. Surely there are other topics to talk about except her. She spent almost the entire season reacting to comments about her weight. She gained weight, so what, move on. It became boring and predictable. She'll be off soon.
