Yeah I'm tending to agree with some of the non-haters on here. I loved Aaliyah to the core, but why do we have a tendency to make superhumans out of some people when they die?

the fact that people are even still discussing aaliyah 6 years later is a testiment to how big of an impact she made. with her level of fame aside, aaliyah was respected by her peers and those older than her.

she was known for being innovative and edgy when it came to her music, video, styling, persona. nothing was a gimmick about her. she wasn't just a pretty face who was controlled by her label. she had the talent to back it up.

PLEASE don't let this be true. While I love Bey and think she is talented, I just can't see her re-singing a song that was already smoothly done. Beyonce yells in her songs more than she does actually sing.. Aaliyah, to some may have not had the best voice but her voice was just right for that beat and that song and she always had this slick and smoothness about her.

I hope the Haughton Family, no disrespect, is not seriously thinking about letting her cover this song. There are certain artists' songs that should NOT be remade. This is one of Aaliyah's many that no one needs to touch.
