Alot of people were talking smack in Barbados though-to the point they had a huge editorial in the nation paper saying the way people talk badly about Rihanna is bad for her self esteem!lol I bet it's a love-hate relationship, and when she's back home, all her haters are the first in line to take a picture with her.

Whether she can sing or not is arguable, but she has a very unique voice, her style and image is her own and her music is really good, I love all 3 albums. With reference to ppl in Bim having ill feelings towards her, I am a Bajan and I can fairly say that there are ppl who like her and ppl who don't, just like any other artist in any other part of the world. Just like there are ppl in Carolina who absolutely love Fantasia, but still they are ppl who dont. I dont see why it should or would be any different in her case. Different stroke for different folk. Some people are just not into her genre of music, never have been and never will be. Others are not too happy about her generalising bajans by the crap that she said. She makes it sound as if the whole island hates her.
I was born in Barbados, but don't live there anymore. And to be very honest, who gives two [EXPLETIVE] about Rhianna? I for one am someone who appreciates good music. Someone who can actually sing. And this girl just doesn't do it for me. There are so many chicks down there, some who I know personally that can sing their asses off and look 10x better than she does. And yet they're overlooked. But this one, who can't keep a steady note for the love of God, is oh so great. Then she claims, people hate on her. You can't hate don't have talent. You hate on the fact that her ass can't sing and people like Tamia and the lovely Chante Moore, who actually have voices and can sing to the death are underrated. That's my issue. That's the [EXPLETIVE] I don't understand. But that's life.
Rihanna exudes fabulous-ness!! Love the blue dress!! EVERY artist is loved and hated, depending on who you ask. And the question isn't if she can sing or not. It's more about the tone quality of her voice. I think Riri needs to step up her stage presence, but I love her music. She's only 19, give her her time to grow.
