: MediaTakeOut.com has just learned that the Los Angeles County Coroner's office is looking into the death of Kanye West's mother, Dr. Donda West. The coroner's office is expected to do a full autopsy of Dr. West some time this week.
As we reported to you yesterday, Dr West died after complications arose while undergoing a tummy tuck and breast augmentation surgery. It's not clear, however, what was the immediate cause of death.

Sadly I hear Dr. West was allergic to the anesthetia that was used. Well that's what the radio is saying. Money talks, bullshit walks. Those doctors are supposed to run numerous tests before any procedure is done. They saw $$$ signs when they found out who she was. So so sad.

I agree with you, I hope ppl realize just how drastic this whole thing really is! You dont hear to much about ppl dying from these things but now that it happen to someone famous or someone close to someone famous, I hope it makes ppl think twice about having these tummy tucks and stuff!!!
I don't know them personally, but my heart is breaking for him. To lose your momma like that. Damn I can't even imagine. The way she supported her son, you don't see mothers like that in hip-hop. She praised her son every chance she had. She gave him the self esteem to be the best he can, some folks call it arrogance, I see it as extremly high self esteem. I feel for Kanye and his family. To lose someone you love and someone that means everything to you is probably one of the worse things in life that can happen to a person. I have been there and my prayers go out to this man for losing his mom, his best friend, and his biggest fan. Stay Strong Kanye, we are all pulling for you!!!!!
This is so sad. My parents are in their 70's and I can't imagine being without them. I'm sitting here wondering.. wht happens in a situation like this? Do they go ahead and finish the procedure once they realize she's dead or they just sow her back up? So sad.. This makes you realize that it's not even worth it. Just be happy the way you are. I hope they didn't have an Anna Nicole Smith/Daniel Smith type of relationship. Not to mention the guilt that he will probably feel b/c he supported her decision to do this.

Elvis loved his mom the same way Kanye does and he never got thru it. You never get over a parent's death, no matter how many years go by. You just try to work your way thru it.
I hope that someone strong will enter Kanye's life and help him thru this transition with no mother.

Ms. West could've been augmenting by reducing her breast size, not enhancing it. She was a pretty woman already but things can go wrong. The coroner will find out. I'll bet she was given too much fluid by the anesthesiologist. This seems to be a current theme in some of the lipsuction deaths.
I've been praying for Kanye since I heard about this tragedy.

Condolences to Kanye & family. Kanye is an emotional entertainer and has a close relationship with his mother. I am in shock and it's not my family. I hope the coroner gets to the bottom of this. Before an operation the doctor will have the patient take a complete phisical and the blood is drawn/tested. If there is an issue the doctor should know in advance. I hope the coroner gets to the bottom quickly, but carefully.

TMZ has learned that just weeks before Donda West died, a plastic surgeon refused to perform procedures on her because of a health condition that could have led to a heart attack.
We've learned Beverly Hills physician, Dr. Andre Aboolian, was set to perform a tummy tuck and breast reduction on Ms. West, but told her she needed to get clearance from an internist whom Dr. Aboolian recommended. We're told West never went to that doctor, and subsequently had the procedures performed -- but not by Dr. Aboolian.

This was the first thing I heard when I got in the car last night after spending a wonderful evening with the fam and watching football. My entire mood changed, I was just like DAMN...although i dont know Kanye but to lose a parent and a mom at that has gotta be the worst thing in the world times 10. When I first read about the passing of Dr. West I was shocked and saddened. I was at work and was not myself after reading the article. i cried later on; although I never Dr. West, it was like she was a part of the family. I lost my mother when I was young, so I definitely know how Kanye must feel. My prayers will be with you and your family Kanye.

That was a shock to me bc I know how close him and his mother was according to the music industry. We all have these experiences of losing a loved one and, I for sure lost many. But I aint gonna lie, I'm a mommas boy. I love her to death and if anything ever happened to her I would lose my mind. The reason I havent been keeping to date with everything is bc of my busy schedule so Im limited at times when I can come on or not. I had to come on here to give my condolences to the west family ( Kanye as well ) and to keep ur head up playa. Im pretty sure how ur feeling by the loved ones I have lost but my momma, I cant even compare to the ones that I already lost because thats my love of my life. My mother is the best thing in my life. MTO needs to correct their statements about what procedures she had done. She had a tummy tuck true.. however it is all over Chicago that she was having BREAST REDUCTION SURGERY! The same surgery that Kim Fields, Queen Latifah, and countless other black women. She had stopped breathing and was rushed to Centinela Freeman Regional Medical Center in Marina del Rey.
There have been reports from a plastic surgeon who asked that she have clearance from a cardiologist. She never saw that plastic surgeon again nor did she see the cardiologist. That clearance is a NORMAL procedure for any person if there was a history of heart problems or related health problems. No ethical surgeon will operate on you without proper clearance. My heart and prayers go out to Kanye and the West family.
MTO posters, please understand that breast augmentation IS NOT ALWAYS breast enlargement. Please remember that James Brown's wife died on the operating table while getting a face lift and liposuction. If a PS sends you to get clearance it is to protect you not to keep you from getting the surgery.
Actually, the news made it seem like she died on the hospital table too. I was shocked as I don't know what. Ironically I was talking to my grandmother about her, and she said maybe she was sick I said you don't have to be sick to die from surgery (we didn't know it was cosmetic surgery at the time we just knew it was surgery). I said to her you can have cosmetic surgery and die from that and you don't have to be ill in order to get cosmetic surgery (actually I don't think they would perform on you if you were ill because its elective and not required). I also stated to my grandmother that I doubt that she had cosmetic surgery. Ironically she did have cosmetic surgery. The very thing I thought she didn't have was the very thing that she did have.
I am not sure exactly what happened but everyone is saying that it had something to do with cosmetic surgery. That is messed up because that could have totally been avoided if she didn't decide to have the surgery. Kanye's mother was a very strong woman.

Soulsta, you are correct, there is a misconception about plastic surgery. Everyone thinks that breast augmentation means breast implants and its not always like that. That is better than my grandmother thinking that Cosmetic Surgery = Gastric Bypass Surgery LOL. I just correct her but I understand her because she is not into that stuff. She just puts all of that into one category, the breast, lipo, tummy tuck LMAO. I thinks she confuses them at times. She is old school and believes in appreciating your body without having it altered by a surgeon. So shes not even interested on knowing about that stuff. Although many DO indeed use Gastric as Cosmetic though, so she may have a minor, minor point.

This story is so very dear to me too. I lost my Mother this year and today is my birthday. She was a very educated woman too. She a Principal of a school. It is hard to deal with but you have to be her voice now. Do what she would do. That is why I engulfed myself in weddings. It is NOW my life since my mother wasn't able to see mines.
