: As we reported earlier, famed rapper Kanye West's mother died on Saturday evening, shortly after undergoing cosmetic surgery. Since MediaTakeOut.com's initial article however, a series of other reports have come out - all of which seem to shift the blame for Donda West's death, to one degree or another, onto Kanye West's mother. And it's that reporting that has Kanye's family in an uproar.
One member of West's family reached out to MediaTakeOut.com to show their frustration. The insider told us, "I knew that [the press] was going to try and twist everything and blame Donda ... that's what they do. But the woman isn't even buried yet and already they're starting."
The family member continued, "I know that all the doctors are afraid of getting sued, but that's the furthest thing from anyone's mind right now. We're all just trying to find out what happened and that's it. Hopefully [the mainstream press] will have some compassion and stop blaming her ... she's the one person that we know for sure is innocent."
Two reports in particular trouble Kanye's family. First, one doctor who consulted Donda is claiming that she had a heart condition which caused him to refuse to perform surgery on her. And the doctor that actually performed the surgery on Kanye's mother's, famed cosmetic surgeon Dr. Jan Adams (see photo below), is claiming that Donda's death was completely unforeseen and could have been caused by a number of unrelated factors.

All media outlets should respect the privacy of the family at this time. Give this family a break, this is devastasting. Whether she decided to go forward with the surgery or not, doesn't matter right this moment. Give the family so space... to grieve MTO. The public will still read your articles, so you don't have to put up numerous articles a day about this ladies passing.
Dr Jan Adams is an excellent doctor! He even hosts a plastic surgery show on Discovery Health Channel because he has a low fatality rate and excellent results. Maybe plastic surgery isnt for everyone; I dont blame Dr adams for her death, its a very sad situation but a doctor like jan adams should not go to trial due to her health issues, she knew the consequences of surgery. I am sure she kept cancelling because her intuition warned her against getting the surgery but she went forth. Im sure Dr Adams had her sign documents waiving his liability for her death, although its unfortunate....leave jan adams out of this, hes a great doctor!
Surgery is dangerous. Surgery is risky. Nobody forced either the surgeon or Kanye's mom to have elective cosmetic surgery.

*BTW, 99% of the time those liability waivers aren't enforceable. Generally, one won't be held to have waived the negligence of a medical professional. That is all.
Media Take out was probably one of the first to report that she died due to cosmetic surgery. Because no other site has the info I thought MTO had just jumped to conclusions but they didnt. Give them credit for being one of the firsts for breaking this story as to WHY she died. It is not unbelivable that someone from the inside of Kanyes camp has reached out to them. It is not like they are revealing their identity. The stories so far have lined up. Its obvious that the doctor in this procedure is trying to cover his tracks. Why would that be so unbelievable? Also i doubt they are thinking about suing now. They are still grieving and its not like they need the money. MONEY does'nt matter right now. His mother and best fried can never be replaced.

It’s believable that “some one” is contacting media-take-out, but the allegation that the media is “blaming” Kanye’s mother for her own death seems a bit exaggerated. So far most of the reporting seems centered on the facts….those are that it was elective cosmetic surgery; one physician refused to do the procedure unless she was medically cleared due to a pre-existing condition; she never returned to that physician, but apparently had the procedures done elsewhere that resulted in her death. The logical conclusions are….she “elected” to have the surgery performed and was “aware” of the risks. Whether a waiver was signed and is enforce-able and whether the doctor that performed the procedure was “aware” of her preexisting condition is really the only part of the story left to tell.

WoW...this happened to one of james browns wife too (died during cosmetic surgery)...I feel bad for her family as well but I don't think anything Kanye did caused this as some seem to think. Regardless of blame, she did not need to do this to her body period. She was a beautiful and successful black woman. If she wanted to change her appearance, it takes hard work, exercise and eating right. Sometimes people get caught up in "the goodlife" and loose focus. Kanye's mom was told to get checked out by a specialist before she got the surgery and she didn't do it. It really sucks but there's no reason the press shouldn't figure out the story. That's their job.

regardless of what anybody believes, there is always a risk when having cosmetic surgery. but that does not justify the fact that his mother is gone i do not blame kanye or his mother for her death. she knew about the risk factor, but there are so many people that have had successful surgeries. there are tons more surgeries that end with no health problems and actually help the patient with body issues most surgeries do not end up fatal or botched. and all of you can say she should have just exercised, but there are some parts of the body that you can work to exercise all day and it will still be the same. lets not forget that she is not 18 or 25 she is 58 and her body would not have snapped back into place after losing weight.and @bobokeys i am not sure that kanye would feel that way about it. most people would prefer for family business to remain ummmmmm PRIVATE

I thought the same thing when they started talking about Dr. West's death. I thought that it is disrespectful to spend more time spreading unconfirmed rumors about how she actually died than talking about the fact that she's dead. I totally disagree with this article. I saw the plastic surgeon on CNN several times and not once did he ever blame Ms. West for her own death or allude to it. He said that she consulted with him about the surgery but he told her she would need a "work up" BEFORE he would do it. This is normal procedure for any elective surgery. Who's going to do breast enhancements before knowing what else may be going on in a person's body? A quack, that's who.

I know of some insurance companies who will cover breasts reductions because of all of the medical problems they cause, mostly back troubles. Huge breasts are hard to get rid of. So for all of you who are saying, she should have just exercised and lost weight. It doesn't always make the biggest difference. And just imagine running with two watermelons on your chest. I saw a story on CNN about Professor's West death yesterday, and I took it the same way. The anchors acted as if she had behaved irresponsibly. They then went on to inform the public on the correct procedures to follow when choosing a plastic surgeon. I was very offended and disgusted. I won't be watching CNN anymore. They implied that she did not know what she was doing because she was an ignorant black woman.
