: Since MediaTakeOut.com posted our article about Keyshia Cole refusing to perform in Columbus, Georgia, we've received literally HUNDREDS of emails from angry concertgoers.
We'd love to print them all, but most of them contain extremely harsh language that's not suitable for reprinting. But here's one email from a MediaTakeOut.com reader who witnessed Keyshia's diva ways first hands:
In regards to the incident in Columbus, GA. I was there back stage before the show. Keyshia looked like she had no intentions of getting on stage. Even at the last minute she wasn't ready (neither her hair or nails were done).And Keyshia may have a lot more to worry about than just some angry fans. MediaTakeOut.com learned that a Georgia lawyer is considering bringing a lawsuit against Keyshia Cole on behalf of the cheated concertgoers.The whole time she was there, she was complaining about how Columbus was too small of a town for her status. [Keyshia's] manager tried to calm her down [by telling her] that plenty of her fans live in Columbus. [But she said] that her fans would understand that it wasn't in her best interest to perform in a small place.
She also called someone in her entourage "fat ass" and would only refer to him only by that name. And the people who were trying to prep her for the show tried to converse with her - but all she did was roll her eyes and did not talk to them (as if the were inferior).
Here are the reason's I heard Keyshia give for not performing: 1) Columbus was too "small" for her. 2) She "believed" she was a bigger star than Neyo (she stated that loud and clear) and complained as to why she was on before him. Neyo even came to see her and she turned him away and said, " I don't want to see that n*gga!!" 3) Columbus Civic Center (where she was to perform) stage wasn't big enough for her to ride her motorcycle in - even her manager said so. This is the Diva Keyshia Cole!
Check back. We suspect there's a lot more to this story...
first of all the way I heard it is that she didn't want to demote herself as being an opening act she has paid her dues to be a headliner. so maybe that is why J. holiday has been added. new and up and coming is who is supposed to be opening acts not keyshia. Dont hate her cauase she wouldn't take a demotion. and if that is the case thn her true fans would have understood. watch her show if you have any questions, or listen to her new c.d. "she is just like you" love you keyshia.
Well, if Keyshia is TOO BIG for a performance in Columbus, GA then the money that the concert goers spent was too small for her. I think that she should be held responsible for "walking out". Let her give back a portion of the money they spent if not all of it. That was not called for. She is in my opinion a dumb%^& broad who has let money and fame go to her head Regardless of if she realizes it or not, those fans are part of the reason that she was able to get to the point where she is today. That's also the reason I refuse to buy her albums. She needs to handle that.

If you're a true artist, it wouldn't matter if you're performing for 20 people or 200,000 people. She should want to perform for her fans no matter where they are or how many there are. But if you get to the meat of the situation, she was paid to do a job and she didn't - that's wrong. I hope she loses the lawsuit, maybe then she'll learn a little humility.
When a fan pays to go to a concert to see a specific person (maybe they didnt PAY to see the other acts,,they only wanted to see Keisha)
They dont give a sh*t if she is first, second or third..They pissed cause they paid their money and she aint performin for them. I would want my money back too!!!

Because...i know if I was performing, lol, I'd WANT to go on first or second and just get it over with!! I mean...really!! I would like to express myself concerning the R-Kelly concert on last night, I came to visit my best friend,in Columbus, GA which we both purchased tickets and I know this may not be the correct person or what have you to express what I am feeling, however I need an outlet in regards to Keisha (The Witch Cole). Now I’ve heard her interview with a radio station in New York and her attitude was terrible and nasty and she attempted to rectify it by saying she had no idea where she was going for that day, but regardless where ever she was going she needs to know how to conduct herself accordingly and appropriate, after that I had a sour taste concerning her (and yes I told everyone I could about how silly, mean and immature she behaved. (It’s on You-tube) if you all haven’t checked it out, Ok back to last night, I drove 8hours plus to Columbus, GA from St. Louis, MO in hopes of getting a good show, which I did (with out her) Do you know why she left? Rumor is that she wanted to perform for so long and basically had a tantrum and burnt out, (and that’s not DIVA NOTHING in my opinion) all I have to say is Yes I do watch her show (in disgust) now after listening to the interview, I did have some sympathy for the child because of her dysfunctional family issues, and even on the show she shows no concern or genuine love for her family. (This is what I am discerning from her) Keisha needs to realize that I, we, us have made her to have the Celebrity status that she living at this time; she needs to realize that her fan base is quickly deteriorating because of her nasty attitude and ugly demeanor. Also on yesterday another friend of mine in Columbus, GA said that her and the crew were at The local Burger King on Macon Rd and she talked so negative about Columbus and just mean mugged everyone in there like they were trash or so way beneath her, when I look at her show I don’t look at her mother which is a recovering crack addict, with no teeth in her head and a bad hairdo and her sister who is a alcoholic and her friends Amina and her long time friend the assistant (Ronique) and the kids who never look like they get their hair combed in disgust,(and are on national television) because they all regular people, with issues, I am so upset because when “We” feel like “We” have stepped our game up and “We” feel as though “We” have arrived, “We” tend to get real nasty towards the “lil people”, now I know this isn’t true for everyone, but this is how I feel and it really upsets me to know that someone who I thought I was relating to in her Cd’s is so shallow and mean, my goodness even R-Kelly (who has had his share of misfortune in the media) had to show his love and appreciation verbally last night that I appreciated that a lot. Keisha needs to remember that her record did sell in this wack little town and other wack little towns across the world that has enabled her funky behind to do what she is doing right now and when she comes to perform weather its Los Angeles, CA or Sparta, MS she needs to do what she was called to do and do it to the best of her God given ability. And “That’s the way it is.”

honestly i am on keyshia's side because keyshia and r kelly is suppose to open up the show. neyo was scheduled to perform in selected cities so if he is scheduled to perform in selected cities he should open for keyshia.Im going to the concert tonight in greensboro and neyo is not schedule to perform so im hoping keyshia will be there with no problems.

I live in columbus and I attended the concert....so IT IS VERY TRUE that she did not perform and that she wanted to go go before NE-YO . I like her music but R.Kelly is a bigger star than he is, but he is very grateful for his fans no matter were they live. Columbus is an 1 hour n 30 mins away from Atlanta. She lives in Atlanta. I dont know why she thinks she is superior. Alot of people were disappointed she did not perform but R.Kelly and Ne-yo we so good..they really dont need her on the tour :)

I usually read the comments and have nothing to say, but I could NOT sit back and say nothing this time. I am a fan of her show. I t was nice to see someone that support their family after all that she has gone threw. This act of unkindness is very ugly. The reason being you are NEVER to big for your fans. Never for get who is helping you maintain your new life style. I don’t care if by surprise you are performing for some homeless people under a bridge and they only paid 50 cent. They paid their money for you to perform. Who are you? To think that, especially the way she said that she struggled? The Truth is starting to come out about this Tour. Neo just quit the tour. He said that at the Columbus show, RKelly took up all 7 dressing rooms and told him to get dressed on his bus. He also said they were told not to be in the Hallway when he was coming through. He didn't go into anymore detail, but you can see why someone wouldn't want to perform with him if they are treated like second rate performers. I don't blame Keyshia at all.
I hope this is not true. I love Keyshia's music, this type of attuide will not take her far. It's a blessing that she has what she has. Keyshia remember your fans are the reason you are successful.
