The AMA's became irrevelant wheen they starting C list singers look like A list singers and when they were no longer able to get A list presenters. When I was younger, Oscar winners like Jack Nicholson, Michael Douglas and George Burns appeared on the show as presenters. Now who do they get? Paris Hilton, Nicole Richie and Lindsay Lohan.
Well this would create another opportunity for another artist to shine if they have their ish together. A lot of the R&B singers don't have their ish together with their performances and their singing. Agree@Yankee fan Entertainment hit a all time low when they decided to force Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie on us. They lost the little credibility they did have for giving us talented people.

Last time I checked Beyonce is the headliner of the AMA's b/c they made a special announcement for her. They mentioned Alicia and Rihanna them as well but they gave Beyonce a special recognition. That speaks for itself. Beyonce is considered the best female performer out there by the majority so people do look forward to her performances more than Alicia or Rihanna.

If you read my post clearly you´d notice that I talked about occassions where they were nominated in the "same category at the same time"
I also talked about awards and not Grammys. Awards. That includes them all, Grammys, Billboards, MTVs etc...
If you want to talk about who has the most awards or my bad Grammys that is irrelevant as both these 2 ARTISTS still have a "continous" career so that fact will never in any way be relevant unless they both seize to entertain at the same time, have the same number of albums out, etc...
At the end of next year Alicia will get more Grammys, Awards, etc and maybe so will Beyonce but who will have the most we don´t know so this point is childish.
To those that claim that Alicia is not internationaly known need to step of their Computer Screen and travel around the world before speaking for the rest of the world.
Alicia gets to share the BIG ARENAS with all the MAJOR international artists from Jamaica, Asia to Africa, with Nelson Mandela, Bono Angelina Kidjo etc something that none of the artist mentioned above in their long career will never achieve out of America and England....oh and Japan..those japanese folks love just about eanyything played to them.
