I know a girl whose boyfriend spit in her face one night in the middle of the streets, and when started to cry, he spit in her face again. Then, when she said something about in the next day, he laughed about it. Then one day he stood her up in front of a mirror and started pointing out every little imperfection in her face until she started to cry. Then he started telling her how lucky she was to have him, because he could have so many other girls who are much prettier.
After all that she still took him back. I told her that I didnt fell sorry for her anymore, because she is no longer a victim. Not as long as she keeps accepting this behavior.
The funny thing is that when she told her mother about him spitting in her face, her mother told her that her father had done the same thing to her. That type of low self-esteem and lack of self worth gets past down to your daughter without you even realizing it.
Me and my sister where lucky that we had two parents and an extremely strong and respectable mother. My sister would never accept a man like this.

Oddly enough, I don't think that she's stupid at all. I think that she is deeply in love with a man who consistently hurts her. I am sure that many people here have taken someone back after a mistake. Who knows whether or not he is going to change; I'm surely not going to put my mouth on their future union. We have no idea what goes on in the confines of their household. I pray that everything works out between them. She is a beautiful woman, who has stuck by him through a lot.
