: We just got word from one of our faithful readers from Turks &Caicos that a scandal is brewing on the island. Here's what that person had to say:
I have some new information on the “Hon” Premier Michael Misick and LisaRaye. As you guys know LisaRaye was set to star in a reality show called “The Premier and I”. It was supposed to be on the daily lives of her and her husband the premiere Michael Misick.We're also hearing that a few members of Parliament are looking into the fees paid by Premier Misick. We'll let you know how this unfoldsThis has since been canceled because quite frankly the people of the Turks and Caicos Islands are fed up with both the premier and Lisa Ray. The premier who is supposed to be looking out for the well-being of the country spends most of his time in Hollywood with Lisa Ray at the expense of the islands which he" governs" and does not own "OWN".
Lisa Ray is now in one of the ads in the "Departure" travel magazine advertising Turks and Caicos Islands. Now this is a luxury destination travel magazine. She is being paid "A'" list prices by her husband who is using the islands money to pay her to be in these ads.
She is obviously trying to get from her "Z" list status to that big "A" listing. Anyone who reads the “departure” magazine will be clueless of who Lisa Ray McCoy is … the islands are paying “Halley Berry money” to Lisa Ray for her being in an ad.

I'm pretty sure that she does use her *** as a weapon. I'm from Chicago, Lisa Raye's hometown, and I have heard stories about her. Do not know if they are true, because there is a such thing as haters. As for the money, I'm not surprised. Politicians does this type of *** all the time. If they are living file, it will come back to bite them in the *** soon. Always does!!!
I once heard Lisa Raye on a radio station say she would do anything for money so hey a girl has to do what she has to do. I did read on mjsgossipspot.com that she and her husband are good friends with Nicole Murphy maybe he should have schooled Murphy on her boyfriend Troy Stravos who stole her money.

Although she is a very beautiful woman, she is still not from Turks and Caicos. He uses her picture in a high class magazine (Elite Traveller) for marketing Turks and Caicos. In many ways, it is a slap in the face for many of the beautiful local women who could just as easily represent the island. I don't know what she's like in person, but hopefully she realizes that this could very well backfire on her by being over-exposed as the "Island's First Lady". Nevertheless, she is still a beautiful black woman and we should not drag her down because of her status, just make her realize to give some one else a ***..afterall, I don't think that she needs anymore a$$i$tance.
oh yeah!! who cares if the Premier flies First Class???!! Would you rather see him and his official fly coach? How in the world would any other country take the Turks and Caicos Gov't if they came off the plane with Bubba and the rest of the Jenkins family LOL. Trust me, tourism is bringing in Million$$$$ of dollars so first class tickets and luxurious living is barely putting a dent into the economy. It's something else thats going on in that department.

What is MTO's issue with Missick. Y'alls story about his *** love affair with Tisha Campbell's husband was a LIE; and you all continue to dig. Leave that man and his wife ALONE. At least he married a black woman, and what has she done so horribly wrong except expect to be paid for her services as an actress? The add is this month's Essence, and its beautiful!
I do not think that Lisaraye is that beautiful at all. I think she is average looking. I think her sister DA BRAT IS GORGEOUS NATURALLY.
Anyway I like Lisaraye, I think she is a good actress. I liked her in the player's club. I do not have anything to say about her marriage except that her husband loves her. I could tell by the way he looks at her.

I'm in the travel industry so I read Departure Magazine... What I don'nt understand is why is she being paid to do ad campaigns... It is her duty as First Lady to bring tourism back to the country.. so whatever she is being paid is money wasted and can be used for something more important than her shopping trips and weave appointments...

Well Id be satisfied on the Z list if I was Ms. Mccoy becuz that money that the Premiere got must be loooong. She came to my job to get some extreme eyelashes put on...Which are btw 300 dollars and Diamond pulled out a black card! Not to mention that rock she had on her finger that introduced itself to me before she did! The funny thing is her card got declined becuz she used it too much...and she pulled out two expired cards and a discover (which my spa doesn't take) and then finally got a visa to work...it was kinda embarrassing but she was humble about the situation. I applaud her on that!
***, To even be eligible for a black card dont u have to at least 500,00 within a year...My other credit cards will be expired to because if I had a black card because thats the only card I will use...LOL now moodaooda was her black card declined because she had no money left ??? or does a black card have a limit as to how many times a day you can use it????

If one more person tell me I resembles LisaRaye I'm gone scream.... don't get me wrong she is very pretty.... but everywhere I travel people tells me "EXCUSE ME BUT YOU KNOW WHO YOU LOOK LIKE" being told so many times I be already knowing who they gone say, so I'll say LisaRaye and they'll be like yeah how you guess what I was gone say.....I also get a lot of old ladies telling me I look like Raven Samone. I have been reading MTO for a while now and find it very entertaining. I have never posted a comment, however had to voice my opinion on this one. Desperation for attention that would not be given other wise based on talent or merit. In other words Lisa Raye has absolutely no talent and you would never see her in Departures magazine if it was not for her using the T&C islands for her own personal publicity. I have an American Express platinum card and I have received a Departures magazine every month for the past 10 years, if I ever saw a add with Lisa "no talent except on her knees" Raye in it, finaced by her *** "like her father" husband, financed by the exploitaion of the T&C islands, I would write in to Amex and protest!!!!! Bad choice American Express, do your homework!!!!!!!

I swear a long time ago I heard Lisa Raye on the radio saying that she was infected with HIV and I also know it was published in a black magazine like ebony, essence, jet, or something... I am really wondering why the Premiere had to pay his wife to do any promotion for the Turks and Caicos. THAT I don't understand. It makes me wonder if this is a business arrangement and PR as opposed to a real marriage. I am hoping this is not true. I am not the biggest fan of Lisa Raye. But I must say that I like the idea of a south side Chicago girl being driven and determined to make it in this world and finds herself making history books as the First Lady of an island. She's royalty. That is beautiful and I applaud her strength. I applaud him for having vision and it appears to me that he truly wants to bring Turks and Caicos to another economic level that has not been attained before. They are both driven people and I love the idea of them together. I think Turks and Caicos is making a mistake by not allowing the reality show to take place. I think seeing this beautiful island on television will open doors and bring serious tourism to the island - MONEY! I had never even heard of Turks and Caicos until Lisa Raye married the Premiere. Now I want to go next year for Valentine's Day. It looks like paradise. I do, however, think that the Premiere is enjoying new found fame and attention he had not been receiving until he married Lisa Raye. And I also feel that Lisa Raye needs to focus more so on being by the Premiere's side and supporting him in his role as Premiere. I hope they figure this out for the sake of Turks and Caicos. That is far more important than Lisa Raye's career. I respect both of them and I am glad to see two powerful, driven, and ambitious people actualizing their desires and visions. Not too many people can say they went from average to royalty in their life time. It's gotta be tough with a lot of trial and error. They'll get it together and keep striving like they have been. Both are definitely smart people. I love black powerful couples! We should be rooting for them to make it - not tearing them down.
i think that all you guys are saying is S^%$% CAUSE i live in the Turks and Caicos and i think that what she is doing is great.... she is building a movie theater here something we don't have and is helping a lot of us youths be out of the boreness of the island just because tourist like it here and it is fun we locals do not think it is it is the most boring place in the world and thanks to her we gan have something to do...so *** yall *** up!!!

Turks and Caicos looks beautiful and I plan on going in 2008. Lisa Raye brought attention to the islands, so she is definitely doing her part. I just pray they stay focused and not allow any of this negativity to sway them off of their track. I get the feeling that the Premiere's former oppoents are really digging for dirt and trying to destroy him. That's what I really think.
