I'm glad you lightened up from you previous Beyonce posts? none of us really know her personally, only what we see. And i agree with you that there is a definate contrast between her and some of the competing females. These females are still writing lyrics to "envoke attention" and controversy. Byonce to me is an entertainer. She's not trying to be deep or phylosophical, it's just good , fun, hip hop music to jam to in your car.

Although....sounds like Beyonce is trying to loophole her way out of a 7 CD deal with her record label. Because if I'm not mistaken, Columbia has had Destiny's Child bound to a 7-CD contract deal. With her having her own brand and name outside of that group, she must have also signed a 7-CD contract deal of her own, too. She tryin' to cut ties with her label, y'all!!

okay...in reading this again.She never really indicated that she would release all 70, although she has "recorded" 70. But ..i'm thinking.. MTO may be drawing this conclusion due to the fact that her contract is up with her record label.. hmmm. which is..Interesting. Trying to help ya out, MTO> I'm quite sure she will be working with her husband on future projects and may want to go ahead and close out the label deal? If the record label has rights to all of the rest of those songs and she is done with the label contract,..what happens to all those songs. Can she take them with her? does anyone know? hmmm...If not, it would be a smart thing to release them...at least on i-tunes or somewhere.$$$$ lol!

I disagree with Coolin! You are genius. If you can sale 7 CD's for less than $35, you will be knocking out the biggest competition in the market, bootleggers, which equals more sales! It may seem like you'll lose a lot of money, but I think you'll come out on top like you always do. It's simple because you always sell more if it's less money. You can set it up so that a person can buy 5 cd's for $25-$30, and, if 1 million or more of the 5cd-sets are sold in the first week, you can give the last two for free to those who bought the 5-set in the first week. More incentive to buy 5cd-set! Just have them give their contact info at the location they buy them from. Just some ideas. I love what you are doing! |

i wonder if she will put her new cd on itunes? jay-z didnt put his last cd on there, talkin bout "its a masterpiece..you dont see movies being sold scene by scene, so this cd won't be sold song by song" or something to that effect lol. that article i saw on yahoo is ringing true- people just arent buying albums anymore! case in point:

Nowhere in that passage did she say that she would be releasing a 7-disc set. MTO has such an idiot staff of writers. It is customary for an artist to record that many songs for an album. It gives them a variety to chose to put on the album. Kanye West is still using songs on his new albums that he recorded almost 8 years ago. Who can afford a 7 disc cd - these days. I guess Bey knows nothing about a recession and people loosing their jobs. You would think they would make it easier for struggling fans with a regular cd and maybe another one down the road.
