: MediaTakeOut.com told you yesterday that R&B singer Lyfe Jennings was arrested after shooting a gun off in the street after looking for his baby's mother at the home of another man. Well now we've learned that Joy Bounds, Lyfe's baby mother, took out a temporary restraining order against him.
And under the terms of the temporary order, MediaTakeOut.com has EXCLUSIVELY learned that Lyfe is not allowed near either Joy or their children together for 30 days.
Sad ... but given how things went down ... it sounds necessary.
Lyfe is now out on bond. But under the terms of his release, MediaTakeOut.com has learned that Lyfe is required to remain sober. And he's precluded from visiting Joy or the man whom Joy is reportedly seeing now.

This lady has more than one child with him? How long have they been together? She is NOT the same female from months back who was alledged to be his child's mother! Damn, Lyfe...that's a phuked up situation...and more than anybody, the kid(s) are gonna suffer, but it's way more to this story than what's being told. Maybe it's just me, but I wouldn't be out looking for my kids' mama w/a gun...been there, done that as far as break ups go, but never got into a fight over a woman...and some cheated, but I figure that you've obviously moved on, so that's what I gotta do, fighting, injuring, or killing some guy isn't gonna make US closer, and while locked up, she'd just move on to the next anyway.

A loyal reader, who knows Lyfe and Joy Bounds personally, emailed me to correct a few misperceptions about her. I found it interesting that she noted Jennings’ life “changed for the worse” when he moved to Atlanta. She didn’t say it, but I know she meant the ATL jump offs and groupies who swarm around married male celebs relentlessly:

What I can say is that Joy didn’t trap Lyfe. He really does love her. She has been there with him since the very beginning, when he was still in jail. From before he had a career to the Showtime at the Apollo performances to when he blew up, etc
From Ohio to New York to Atlanta, she has been there. He had taken very good care of her. I think that purchasing a house and moving to Atlanta is the worst thing that they could’ve done. Once he got down here, it seemed like he changed for the worst.
I wish them the best, honestly. Joy is a wonderful person and definitely doesn’t deserve to get treated this way or to have her name mentioned in a way to say that she was “trapping” him. Lyfe had a very good woman and, like most men, didn’t begin to realize what he had lost until she was gone."
Just so yall know Joy was broke, busted, and disgusted before she met him. She was his manager and baby mama and stole alot of money from him. He took her out of the projects and gave her a life of luxury so heck yeah he mad now she got his loot and bunkin with anotha dude. All i can say is you can't turn a ho into a housewife.
