Cassie can't even sing and more importantly(to the music industry) she can't even make hits. For the "Official Girl" song she had two of the hottest producers, Danja and the Clutch produce and write the track and she had Lil Wayne rapping on it. With all these elements this chick still didn't even muster up a relative hit. Diddy is a mess for this one.
@EsotericDredz- Yes she is pretty but too bad she lacks talent and star appeal. If she had either she would have been a common household name and she obviously isn't so this speaks volumes. Anyway I miss Aubrey. She was the "it" factor that the group needed. Without her, they are a bunch of random, average chicks. Aubrey brought that spice to DK. Diddy is a fool for firing her. I think she'll be famous though going solo. Aubrey got the looks and the star quality.
I think that takes away from how the group came together. He had no reason to slam D woods like that, he needs to apologize and ask her back before someone else snatches her. Where did they all go? I know Black Rob is in jail, but the rest are somewhere else. Mario Winans produces songs for some of his artists but is not on the label. Even Channel Se7en, one of his in house producers is signed to another label. Artists need to stay clear of Bad Boy.

Thanx for the c/s Overstand_9161. I know it 1st hand because I am cool w/ Se7en. He's the one that did some of Donnie's album(Dr.Love). He even said that he didnt like the way Bad Boy handled Donnie and that's why his album is being done on another label because they butchered Donnie's album and relied on MTB4 to market his album instead front the promotion money. You can read his quote he gave me on my myspace blog. He pretty much tried to dressit up and be nice as he could be but you can read between the lines.

If you're referring to "Official Girl," that's not her song. It's Karina Pasian's song. She sang "16 @ War." Puffy bought it for Cassie and threw Lil Wayne on it later to make it sell. Karina sang it on a demo and Russell Simmons sold it to Puffy because Cassie is marketable. Cassie doesn't get a penny for that song because she is just the voice. Wow! This makes so much sense now. All along when Puff was warning Aubrey to cut the attitude and skanky behavior, he already had a plan B in mind. Poor Aubrey got played real bad. I like Aubrey, but I think she's going to end up doing silly reality shows, passed out at clubs and sleeping around.
As far as Cassie, I hope she can ride on her looks for as along as possible because she's got no talent or personality. The only thing she can give DK is shock value and publicity.
I'm sorry but this would be SUCH a bad mistake on Diddy's part. And I actually thought a rumor like this would start. And top round out the group to again make them a quintet, why not add Cherri Dennis, another Bad Boy artist who can't sell.
1st off how embarassing would it be if you went from a solo artist to being put into a group, that hasn't had a single top yours ("Me & U" #3 vs "Show Stopper" #8 on the Hot 100).
That being said, Cassie follow up singles "Long Way 2 Go," and "Official Girl," have had little to NO spark within radio and charts. So how would making a singer who can't sell her own records help sell a groups records as a lead artist-BAD MOVE.
Not to mention to tack her own as a lead singer or an already establish group is pretty disrespectful to the remaining members.
