This is a shame. I was just enjoying The Secret Life of Bees last week and thinking about how God has blessed Jennifer with a beautiful voice and so much talent. I recall her saying "Look what God can do?" after winning the Oscar.

Police are investigating the deaths of two people they believe to be related to singer/actress Jennifer Hudson.
Chicago police confirmed to MTV News that investigators are at the scene at a residence on the South side of Chicago, where two people, a male and a female, suffered fatal gunshot wounds; the representative said police believe both victims to be related to Hudson. Officers received a call shortly before 3 p.m. Friday, and upon arriving found the two victims. The incident has been declared a double homicide.
The Chicago Tribune reported that according to public records, the home is owned by Darnell Donerson, Jennifer Hudson's mother. The paper also reported that Hudson is not injured, according to her bodyguard.
One of the victims was a woman in her 50s who was shot in the head and the other was a 29-year-old man who was shot in the chest, a spokesman for the Cook County medical examiner's office told the Tribune. Chicago police spokeswoman Monique Bond told the paper that at least one victim is "believed to be" a relative of Jennifer Hudson. The shooting was believed to be related to a domestic disturbance, Bond said, emphasizing that the information was preliminary.
[SPAM] reported that the female victim is Hudson's mother, and the male victim is Hudson's older brother Jason, a mechanic.
A representative for the city's medical examiner's office told MTV News that they have an investigator on the scene but have no identification or preliminary information.
The police source told the Tribune that the bodies of a man and woman were discovered by a family member about 3 p.m. in the home in the 7000 block of South Yale Avenue.

1)I read on another site that the police were looking for someone named William Balfour, so I went on Myspace and typed in the name, and that's Jennifer's sister Julia's husband, and her son Julian's stepfather, so I guess the assumption is that he's behind it or involved.
2)DooDooFaceGirl: you are certainly free to feel and believe what you want, but try to be adult enough not to insult others' beliefs. Then again I suppose I can't expect you to respect others-you don't even respect yourself with the name you've given yourself.

3) While I love and appreciate a good laugh as much as anyone, several of you really need to grow and realize that there is nothing funny about this...It is a triple tragedy, and a senseless one at that. Yes I just heard it was her mom & brother Jason I believe were found dead in the house & her 7 yr old nephew is believed tobe with the suspect currently. They've issued a AMBER ALERT so Im praying he will be found, in alive.

TJTRAE1: I too wonder why she didn't move her family out of Englewood, however, even if she had moved them to Naperville or Schaumburg this tragedy may have still unfolded. Because this was domestic there could be many dimensions to why this happened. ABC news showed his mugshot so this man had a previous historty with the law. To what extent, I don't know. Nine times out of ten her sister was getting ready to divorce him, therefore forcing him to move out of the home he shared with this family or there was a dispute over money. Either way this is horrible. I don't know if you heard Trey the Chocklit Jock interviewing Jennfer Hudson this morning but the police say the murders occurred around the time I heard her on the radio. Ironically after the interview it was reported Chicago was ranked above New York and Los Angeles in the number of murders this year and you have to admit we have seen some tragic stories. |

UPDATE 7:35 PM ET: Police are looking for William Balfour (left), who they claim could be with the missing 7-year-old. According to records, Balfour listed Hudson's mother's address as a place of residence within the last year. According to the Illinois Department of Corrections website, Balfour is currently on parole after serving jail time for attempted murder.
UPDATE 8:35 PM ET: Lost in all this is Jennifer's sister Julia, mother of the missing 7-year-old. We're told she works as a bus driver in Chicago. Her employer told us she worked her shift today. She hasn't been seen since.
UPDATE 9:20 PM ET: A WBBM reporter is saying that neighbors have said a family member in the Hudson household apparently tried to steal a car a few weeks ago, an argument ensued, and he vowed revenge. A photo on Julia's MySpace page (bottom) posted prior to today's events alludes to some kind of dispute with William over a car. |

Her daughter is well paid from the city this child will be a millionaire because of the fact a police office left the scene when in reality he should of stayed at her apartment while the mother packed to leave.....He shot her in the head...She died...in the hospital days later..
This is not really anything new this happens allot to women and people family...
