October 30, 2008. MediaTakeOut.com just received a shocking report. According to the National Enquirer, Jennifer Hudson may have been the real target of William Balfour - the man who brutally murdered Jennifer's mother, brother and nephew.

Here's how they describe what set William off:

Julia [Hudson's] mother kicked [William] out of the family home last May because of his drug dealing, and he was furious. He vowed to Julia that her family would regret it and said he'd kill Jennifer ... He knew Jennifer was the most important person in their lives and that her death would devastate them...

He also said he was going to kidnap [7 year old] Julian and she'd never see him again. And he said, 'Then when your famous sister gets back into town, I'll do her too!' said the source.

On why no one had him arrested for making threats:

PLEASE BELIEVE if this was all about hurting Jennifer it would have been done. Jennifer was just here (in Chicago) the weekend before this happened so why not do it then? Why not do it when they first kicked him out back in May? Right cause its garbage. Point blank they know William lied about where he was that day and his alibi has not been confirmed yet which is why he is still considered their number 1 suspect. The questions is not how did he commit all of this by himself the question now is WHO HELPED? So now what they need to be looking at is who is this second person? 	CHECK THIS OUT..... This is a deep theory. I have 2 theories. One surrounds Julia, the other, Jason. For those of you who have blinders on and want to treat Julia like the innocent victim- fine with me. However, as far as I'm concerned there were three victims and they're no longer here to tell their stories. The most defenseless victim, Julian, a poor little 7 year old boy who suffered the most unimaginable fate, witnessed the brutal killings of his grandmother and uncle before being shot twice in the head. We must fight for this child and if this means by exposing his mother- then so be it. I come from a realistic world where unfortunately, mothers sometimes murder their children or contribute to their demise. This is my opinion and if you're one of those people who live in untainted worlds, I ask you to move to the next post because this will probably upset you. Theory 1: Julia Hudson's Involvement There are too many holes in this story: 1)The body of Jennifer Hudson's mother Darnell Donerson was found by Jennifer Hudson's sister Julia around 2:45 PM Friday. Julia called 911 to report the shooting. She also reported her 7-year-old son missing. Police arriving on the scene found Hudson's brother Jason shot to death in a bedroom.- okay I got this from CNN. My question is how could she report her son missing if she never went through the house? She claimed to have walked in the door, and after seeing her mother's body in the living room, left out the house and called 911. She then went to the police station to report Julian missing. How did she know he was missing and not hiding in the house or somewhere murdered in the home? Apparently, the police discovered her brother's body- she did not. As I said, she only made it to the front door. 2)Friday was a teacher's work day in Chicago. Therefore, children did not report. Julia is a school bus driver. Why was she working then? If her son didn't have school, she shouldn't have had to work. All Chicago schools are basically charter schools. Another caveat: How did she get home if Jason was her ride? 3)Police have stated that Jason Hudson was shot when the gunman shot through the front door. He also received defensive wounds. However, his body was found in an upstairs bedroom. If you've seen a picture of him- he was no small guy. William, a man of small stature, could not have taken him upstairs alone. If Jason was shot in the thigh, he would have needed a very large person to help him upstairs. I always wondered in that type of area, shouldn't they have a gun in the home? 4)Shell casings were found in Julian King's bedroom, yet police are saying he was killed in the SUV. 5) The small bullet only went through the wooden door, so the door should have still been locked. How did the killer get in? If he shot at the door first, who in their right mind would have opened it for him? 6)Why didn't they come at night when most murders occur? The whole family would've been there, and they could've killed everyone. 7)Sure, the police could've been monitoring Julia's MySpace, but I doubt it. This is more along the lines of the FBI and they didn't jump aboard until late Saturday. I'm sorry, but I just can't imagine with your mother and brother being tragically killed, and your son missing, the last thing I'd be thinking about is the damn computer. And if it was her on the computer, and William was a suspect, why did she keep him as her #2 friend? His *ss would've been gone with a quickness. Why did she feel the need to explain her actions on Myspace yesterday? Why has she been seeking support from her fans on Myspace when I'm sure she's surrounded by family and friends who love her? I'm sure her closest friends/family know how to reach her. Is she enjoying her newly found celebrity status? To live in the shadows of a famous little sister. All eyes are on you now Julia. A word of advice- ask Jen for some acting lessons- your performance to date isn't Oscar worthy. My little cousin was gunned down a few years ago in Detroit and my Aunt joined a support group for grieving mothers. She said during her meeting yesterday, the women unanimously agreed that something wasn't right about Julia Hudson- even the grief counselor said that she's exhibiting questionable behavior for a grieving mother. 8)Her appearance at the press conference was a little too calm and collected for me. Her hair was fly, she looked pretty well-rested, and she said Julian was more 'like a little brother?' 9)On Friday night when Julian was missing, why was she on Myspace instead of in someone's car driving around the city looking for the white Suburban? The first 48 hours are the most crucial with missing children, and you're chilling on the computer? WTF? I pray that I'm wrong. Lord, I do. I just can't imagine a mother being involved in something like this, which is why I've held back on posting this. But something isn't adding up. If they had something on William, they would've charged him. I think they're trying to get William on technicalities. Theory 2: Jason Hudson's Involvement Jason Hudson has had a few run ins with the law. Perhaps he owed some people some money and they were coming after him. I'm not sure what Ms. Donnerson's schedule would've been like on a regular school day and what time Julian went to school. Maybe she normally took him to school, and didn't come home from dropping him off until around 9:30. If the killers had been watching the house all week, and noticed this pattern, maybe they didn't expect to find Mrs. Donnerson and Julian there on Friday. I mean, it wasn't like it was a major holiday. This would've explained a few things: 1)Why Jason went from being shot downstairs to going upstairs in his bedroom. Did he have something in his bedroom that the killers wanted? Otherwise, why did they let him walk upstairs instead of shooting him in cold blood like they did his mother? 2)They weren't expecting to see Julian. I think this may have really posed a problem for them as they struggled with what to do with him and the person couldn't bear to kill a 7 year old kid. I mean, they had enough heart not to kill the dog- but then again the dog can't talk. Whoever killed Jason and his mother probably didn't kill Julian- they got someone else to. The sad thing is, this poor boy witnessed the murder and became a liability. I hope the Chicago Police does a good job and looks at all angles

	This case is getting crazier by the minute. I'm serious I think it was a hit. Hitmen do not give a [EXPLETIVE] about no one. There was no signs of force entry, yes there were a few rounds shot through the door as reported on the news, but the Killer eventually got in, not by force either. 	I hate to be critical of Jennifer, but things must have been pretty desperate for her moms cash flow situation to allow Jason to deal drugs from her home. If it is in fact true that Jason was a drug dealer as it has been reported, which means the mother had knowledge of it, and was probably getting money from him as is common practice when you have adult children living at home. Jennifer did not offer to move her moms out of the ghetto as has been reported. This is a public relations disaster for her and she is doing damage control as to why her moms was living over there in the first place. If Jennifer was giving her mother money she would not have to let Jason and Julia and the ex-husband all live there who I'm sure all chipped in to pay rent and bills. There are not too many mothers that I know that would say I prefer to live in a house filled with mice and roaches and my drugdealing son, ex-con son in law and grown daughter who lists her hobbies as looking for "good dick" over a nice condo over on a nice safe part of town.

	I've tried to stay away from theories... but here is mine. Julian's father, stepfather and uncle all had known drug ties... Balfour owed a debt and this is how he repaid it. I believe Julian was the target all along... a kidnapping gone wrong. Isn't it a coincidence that this all occurred on a "Teachers' Workday"... I ain't buying it. Here's what I think happened... Balfour provided an entree into the Hudson home. I believe the killers rang the doorbell and as Darnell approached, they fired. Once inside they encountered Jason, so he had to be taken out also. Upon locating Julian, the killers realized that he was a witness... they'd have to kill him. Problem was, Balfour couldn't do it... so Julian was placed in the back of the Suburban (Balfour driving) while the accomplice ditched the Chrysler a few miles away. I believe they drove around for hours trying to figure out what to do with Julian... if they asked for ransom, they'd be tied to the murders and Julian could id Balfour and possibly the accomplice. They chose to kill him. Here's my question, if Balfour was taken into custody late Friday night... who parked the Suburban in the wee hours of Saturday morning? Some neighbors insist that that vehicle was there Saturday morning. Please find the accomplice. My thoughts and prayers go out to the Hudson family. And my wish for the killer/killers... may they each spend the next 30-40 years in a cell with a horny 350 pounder named tiny, who screws their azzes 24/7!

	I'm laughing at the people who would actually take a National Enquirer story as the gospel truth! Since Julia and William are still legally married, the car in question is considered community property. He didn't "steal" her car. I don’t think Balfour committed the murders either but I do think that he has a good idea as to who did it. Up until the point when the report was given about past drug dealings in the home, I didn’t think Julia could have had anything to do with the murders but more and more, I am beginning to get the sense that she also may have a good idea as to who did this. I agree with the people who think this could have been caused by a drug deal gone badly. If Jason Hudson was still involved in drug dealing, that would explain why William wanted he, Julia and Julian to move into their own place. Being around drug activity would have been a violation of his parole. That would explain how the drugs could have ended up in his car over the summer. It has been said that both Jason and Darnell did not like William. If police were to find drugs on him and he went back to prison, that would be a sure fire way to get him out of the house. I think Jason was the intended target. Unfortunately, poor Darnell and Julian just so happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. They may have been expecting Julian to be in school but when they discovered that he was there, they took him. As the police search escalated, the killers/kidnappers became nervous and decided Julian was more of a liability than an asset, so they killed him. When Julia stated on her myspace page that she did what was natural for her and loved a person and it cost her her family, she could have been talking about William but she also could have been talking about her ex-husband, Julian’s father.

	I've read some of these theories and I'm going to play devil's advocate. I've never thought William Balfour was guilty. I think he is a patsy. As far Julia logging onto her MySpace page, so did Jennifer. So did Superstar James. People grieve in different ways. We don't know how much idle time she has and she probably was really wanting to read people's offers of condolensces. Also, even if she does like the attention, it doesn't mean she did it. I know many people that have lost a loved one and when they become the center of attention, they become even bigger "victims." A girl broke down screaming at my job and ran to the bathroom and locked herself in when she found out her grandmother died, I seriously doubt she would have responded that dramatically had she found out at home where there was not an "audience." Some folks are just dramatic, and fame is addictive. Doesn't mean somebody is guilty. It is what it is. Hell, Ron Goldman's family (O.J. Simpson case) wrote a book about their son during the height of the media attention. People capitalize, no matter how much grief they may feel, if there is a media frenzy, people still find a way to capitalize. And why does Julia got to be broke down on T.V. hollering about finding her son. Why does the public have to witness someone's pain and misery to be convinced that they are genuine? We don't know how she responded behind closed doors. And as far as people wondering why her hair was done during the press conference, I'm pretty sure she had her hair done before all of this happened. Anyways this is my Theory: Jason or William got into a bad drug deal where they owed some money. William sold Julia's car to try to pay back what he owed. It wasn't enough. He had a deadline, he missed it. The drug dealers then came looking for him at the Hudson House. They blasted their way in. Julian witness all of this. They kidnapped him. When all the media attention started coming in, they panicked and shot him.

	First of all I don't believe the story MTO quoted from the National Enquirer so I will just skip over that. Second...I posted this question late last night but I want to post it again on this thread to get other views. Julia said when she was out with her friends(who we now know one of them was William) celebrating her birthday Julian wanted to go home. Julia also said when she took Julian home she had a hard time waking him up. Julia's mother was waiting for them at the door with the porch light on and she handed Julian over to her mother and that was the LAST time she saw Julian. Now....when Julian came up missing it was said "he was last seen wearing a striped polo shirt and pants". When Julian was found he was wearing a white T-shirt and basketball shorts. Now either Julia did not come back home after she dropped off Julian or she did come home but did not check in on her son because Julia said he was last seen wearing the pants and striped polo shirt. Where did the T-shirt and basketball shorts come from? Did Julian change his clothes and put on the t-shirt and basketball shorts before he went to bed? If Julian did wear that to bed then the person(s)who snatched him had to have snatch him from his bed early in the morning? What happened to the his clothes he was wearing at the birthday celebration? Are they still in the house or did someone put different clothes on him after he was killed? I know there had to be a lot of blood on the baby after being shot so many times and nothing has been reported about the T-shirt being covered in blood. Any thoughts?

There is definietly a cover up going on and I think they are trying to protect each other. I have always felt she knew more. I do still beleive he is guilty, especially now since police found a gun possibly connected to all three murders near where the truck was found and blocks away from where he was picked up. Now if this gun is only found to be connected to the baby's murder and not the others then there is definitely cause for alarm and Julia might be the one to set it off. Girl, you're good. That is the type of trust a child can only give a mother. I have to admit, I was in denial. I didn't want to believe it but in a day and age when mothers, drown their own children, put them in microwaves, stab 6-month-old babies to death, throw toddlers in rivers and hide their baby's body in a trunk before burying them, I should have. I still contend that people grieve in different ways and I still don't think William committed the crimes. It would seem easy enough to put the blame on William because of his past record.

No one else heard him say that. There are reports that said neighbors witnessed a loud argument between the two a week prior to the murders, but no one said they heard him say those words but her. My point is, Julia is the only person who has supplied a motive for William to commit the murders. The only people who could confirm her statements, or the status of their relationship are dead. 	I don't think this was a drug deal gone bad or a contract killing.I thought they said the little boy had multiple gun shot wounds.I think that has to be someone that knows them to commit an act of passion like that, a contract killing more than likely would have been one fatal shot. 	William didn't sell or steal her car - when he and Julia split he took the car but he stopped making the payments on the car and then the bank starting garnishing Julia's check and she said that she called William about the car and that's when all this started- but A. 	LYoung: There was a neighbor interviewed by a news reporter that said he witnessed William Balfour threaten to kidnap her son if he didn't "quit playing with him." Various other family memebers have said he threatened her and the family as well. It was also said that he didn;t get along well with their mother which was why he was put out of her home on several occasions. Now I'll play devil's advocate here and say this: No disrespect to the dead but while we sit here in judgement of Julia's choice in a husband, her mother allowed this man into her home as family. Whether she did it to keep peace with her daughter or not had it been my child they would have had to find somewhere else to live and support themselves. 	I don't doubt that Balfour made those threats, but it doesn't make sense for him to kill the others if he was aiming for her. Since he's family, I'm sure he knew she was in Florida. To take the little boy away after killing the adults does not sound like a contract hit. What use would the boy have been to them at this point? It leaves a easier/detectable trail for the FBI. To take him somewhere else and then get rid of the body and a big suv quick and discreetly is a big hassle. I think this killer was very angry at Julia. This was not carefully planned out due to the timing and the way the child was found. To take the baby away after killing the adults and then shoot him in the face? 	I hate to admit it, but the National Inquirer has been pretty on point with their stories lately (John Edwards, Paul Newman, the Bristol Palin pregnancy scandal), but I’ll take this new theory with a grain of salt. However, this has all the hallmarks of a gang-related drug/extortion hit. While he might not have been the triggerman, I definitely think that William Balfour was somehow involved. While it is interesting and very plausible what you are saying , I have to keep William in the equation. William was likely involved. Nancy Grace and some of the experts agreed that there is no way Julia ( a woman) could pull off something this horrific.However, I believe Julia approved and assisted with a plot to kill. My theory is that this was a plot to get money. William was the trigger man. Money either by kidnapping, inheritance, and Jennifer. Think about it. Julia is now the sole survivor, and the only living relative.(immediate relative) Jennifer can now spoil her with a condo, clothing, a brand new car,etc.. ALL TO HERSELF! Or..Jennifer will let her have any life insurance for all the relatives because she is less fortunate than her…of course. WILLIAM HOPED TO BENEFIT AS WELL. Somewhere along the line, their plot went bad, and Julia is now double crossing him to save her skin. She is clearly out of control., she is all up on my space, etc..she is speaking out of turn at news conferences,..etc. All in an attempt to seem like the weeping , sad mother. She does not know if William will implicate her. She is scared.Her job now is to convince everyone that William did this, (which he did) but under her manipulation…) And to take the focus off of her she has to implicate him. I believe she was the tip that led to the gun being found. She already knew the boy was dead. 	I personally think the evidence points to Julia more than it does William. However, that doesn't exclude William. But Julia's questionable actions throughout this case, her press conference, timeline, and the fact she put herself as the last person to see any of the victims alive weighs heavier in my mind than a past criminal record, and an argument over a car. Until there are forensics, physical evidence, or a reliable eyewitness that can put William Balfour at the crime scene my suspicion will always be tilted towards Julia having some involvement or committing the murders herself. I NOW believe Jason's alleged involvement with drugs is something to be considered as well. There are too many other angles to look at before we convict William Balfour in the press. I don't think whoever did it could've possibly done it by themselves either way it goes. That is, and has always been my position.

	I think someone is either cutting a deal with the prosecution for immunity or going into protective custody for identifying a gang member in triple homicide. It does not take that long to process a crime scene for fingerprints. They have had the two cars since Monday morning it takes 2 days at the most for fingerprints. That would at least lead them to arrest/bring in for questioning a "person of interest". Same thing for the gun, if the gun is in fact the murder weapon they would have the fingerprints by now. This case has national attention on the Chicago PD and they want to close it asap.

	Solving a real case does not take a few days as it does on shows like Law and Order and CSI. It can take weeks or maybe even months. Some times it can take years and often times cases go unsolved. If they did get prints, it can take a while to get a hit from IAFIS. If there was DNA evidence, it can take a while to get a hit on a DNA match from CODIS. William Balfour has been named as a person of interest but he was not booked on any charges related to this case, He is in police custody because of he violated his parole. I think someone here mentioned Casey Anthony. She has originally arrested for fraud not in for the murder of her daughter. That gave the police all they needed to put her on house arrest so they could keep tabs on her. I agree it appears they are trying a similar tactic with Balfour.

	@ MissJNS Oh Please! I am so tired of you and other people like you sitting up in here and trying to act like you have not or do know people whom have made a mistake or two in their lives. How do you know William Balfour’s mother and father were never married? The point is his father was not in the home because his is incarcerated. Therefore his mother is a “single” mother. Where in my post did I say being raised in a single parent home is an excuse to grow up and be a “menace” as you pit it? NO WHERE! Where in my post did I say being raised in a two parent home guarantees you will be an upstanding law abiding citizen? NO WHERE! There exceptions to every rule. I am far from a victim and am not playing a victim role. I grew up in the so called “ghetto” in a single parent home. I have gone on to become college educated and I have a career. That is not the fate of so many of my childhood friends. I am not the “norm” There is a young man, that I watch grow up, who played with my brother everyday serving a 45 year sentence for murder. We grew up in the same exact neighborhood and in similar household structures but some where he took a wrong turn. Statistics have also shown that children of parents who are incarcerated, especially when the child or children frequently visit said parent, can become desensitized to the prison system. It becomes a normal to see mommy or daddy behind a glass and prison doesn’t seem like such a “bad” thing anymore. I never mentioned slavery, you did. I never said anything about the white media or the white man, you did. It is easy to say, people are lazy don’t want to work or go to school but when you are not surrounded by people to encourage you and help you strive for better, it makes it even harder. You claim to be from the “hood” perhaps you had a great support system as I did. Lack of support and limited opportunities does not make Balfour lazy it makes him unfortunate.

I saw it on the news yesterday. CLOSE UP> they showed the actually holes. someone gained entry like a billy bad azz...mad as hell. This appears to be an angry revengeful SOB...and i believe it was William, and one of his thuggish azz buddies.it is too coincidental. he had already been bothering those people and something put him over the edge. 	I too saw the bullet holes for the first time on Nancy Grace last night. I think she is a hypocrite for not wanting Jason's criminal record to be discussed but she wanted to dig into William's juvenile record which I must remind people, SHOULD BE SEALED!!!!! They may think Balfour's past record may help to give them insight to his personality but Jason's past record helps to point to a possible motive.

	This is not meant to be mean spirited, cruel, insensitive, or malicious in any way shape or form but this rings in my head like a tragic case of, “when keeping it real goes wrong.” Reports have come out stating Darnell Donerson; the mother of Jennifer Hudson didn’t want Jennifer’s celebrity to change her. She didn’t want to move because it was not what she was accustomed to. Wanting to remain grounded, not wanting to ever forget where you came from and staying humble are all great things but when you know you live in a rough neighborhood and you have the opportunity to do better, why wouldn’t you take it? The a lot of the facts surrounding to tragic murder or Jennifer Hudson’s mother and brother as well as the kidnapping and murder of her 7-year-old nephew are not yet known to most and it is not yet known who committed these heinous crimes but I do know that there are evil, jealous people in the world who have miserable existences and want to cause pain and sadness around anyone they may come in contact with for the simple fact that misery loves company. Don’t get me wrong, a crime like this could have happened anywhere. Murders take place in quiet suburbs and in gated communities, as well as impoverished neighborhoods. However, being the immediate family members of a person that is in the public eye and continuing to live in an impoverished neighborhood, when you clearly don’t have to, puts you at risk. These events come at a time in Jennifer’s life when she should be her happiest. She has a movie in theaters, her single just hit #1, her album is doing well and she is recently engaged. Add to that the success she had on America Idol, her breakout Academy Award winning role in Dream Girls and her role in Sex in the City the Movie, it is easy to see why people would be jealous of her and would want to bring harm to her and those who are closest to her.
