November 24, 2008. A few weeks ago MediaTakeOut.com reported to you that since singer actress Jennifer Hudson lost her family, Beyonce - who co-stared in the movie Dreamgirls with Jennifer - hasn't reached out.

Well on Friday, Beyonce confirmed our report!! Radio personality Elvis Duran asked whether she reached out to Jennifer since the tragedy. Beyonce responded, and we quote, "No, but I’m praying for her."

Is it that much to just call a chick and offer your condolences Bey?????

You keep pointing out that Jennifer asked everyone to respect her privacy. We all know that she did not mean things such as personal condolences, cards, and flowers, etc. She meant the media outlets and news papers that are contacting her to get interviews, statements and information on the murders. That’s clearly what she meant. I am quite sure she welcomed and expected messages and expressions of love from Mr Obama , Queen Lafifah, Usher..etc. I am quite sure she liked and expected this type of feedback. Imagine if no one had called her at all. Just imagine that. Personally, I’d feel really crappy. Afterall she is a celebrity, so to hear from any and everyone is expected. I didn't even talk to either person like that, but I still signed a card (not just my name) for them. Simple things like that will make a person feel like others care and understand what they're going thru. Even one of the guys that I did that for came up to me at work and gave a heartfelt "Thank You" for it. One of my so called best friends I met in college, didn't call me, text, email or nothing and still hasn't to this very day. Now that hurt my feelings. There were other chics who knew about my son passing that I had either worked with or went to college with who didn't reach out to me, but we were not friends, and guess what their condolences didn't matter to me because we weren't like that. Their reaching out would not have impacted my life or my mourning, but my so called friends' would have. I believe that the ones I wasn't cool with were praying for me and everyone can use an extra voice in prayer during these times. Beyonce and Jennifer were not friends. If it's not in your heart to call someone or reach out to them, but it's in your heart to pray for them, then you're better off doing what's in your heart. That way, regardless of who judges you for your actions, God will see them as good because you went with your heart and when your heart tells you to do something, we know that it's the spirit of God whispering to you. My so called friend though however, was just selfish.
