Well according to our insider - it wasn't anything scandalous. The snitch explained to MediaTakeOut.com, "They're both extremely busy and their schedules don't match up - so they decided to put things on hold. It was very amicable ... and who knows, maybe they'll get back together."
Serena girl ... you better not let that man get away. It might be time to change up your schedule...
Serena likes to tell her business - unless she's changed in the last several months - so you'd know if they broke up or not. Maybe she wouldn't discuss her private life since everybody knows she and Common were "spotted" even before she'd officially ended it with the other guy. But again, who knows - perhaps the interview in which he discussed their relationship was done before it came out and our timeline is wrong. The moral of the story is, ultimately, we shouldn't have one (a timeline) - it's her biz. Common is too little to be with her, though... The other guy was smaller than her but it didn't show like with Common. I hope she finds love. I heard the director she dated for years was so mean to her it wasn't funny.
