And Ia m shocked that people are so SUPRISED, Janet has a history of keeping things hidden and we have a good friend of the Debarge family that confirmed this years ago. Wow, how they kept this from the public this long is beyond me. As nosy as the media is they never caught wind of this or snooped around to get pictures of her when she was younger? i was trying to decide if the girl looked like janet, but the i remembered that janet's had a lot of plastic surgery too. i'd be more skeptical if the girl DID look like janet now. remember a few years back one of the debarge nephews was trying to promote his new cd so he went on the radio admitting that janet and james had a child? people aren't going to be repeating the same rumor for 20 years if there's absolutely no truth to it. yeah, janet wants a baby but that's because she was never really a mother to this one. it happens a lot with women that abandon their children. they suddenly want kids when they get older.

This is an old clip from a Barbara Walters specaial when they were interviewing the Jackson family about the allegations against Michael in 2004. This girl is Jackie Jackson (the eldest brother) daughter. I have this recorded on tape, that's how I know there's no truth to this.

According to late news, singer Janet Jackson has a secret daughter, now 18-years-old who lives with the singer's older sister Rebbie. It appears that the father is James DeBarge, the diva's ex-husband.
Janet's former brother-in-law, Young DeBarge, claims that, when his brother James was married to Janet for less than 3 months, they had a daughter together, which was left to Jackson's older sister Rebbie. Janet Jackson was eighteen at the time she gave birth to the child.
DeBarge revealed the information during an interview on Friday with New York radio station HOT 97. He said: "James and the Jackson family kept everything real close, real tight", reports MSNBC.com.
"No one really knew how it was working out until things kind of surfaced," he added.
When asked how Renee feels about her mother, Young replied: "I think there's a little despondence. She hasn't really revealed that, but I'm sure that there are some feelings there. It's only natural that you wonder about what is and how it's come to be that way", reports spotlightingnews.com.
Janet Jackson's representative Patti Webster hasn't denied the claim.

I from that era when Janet married the Debarge gentleman. Janet did have a child and a interview with one of her family member told that the child was being taken care of by Reba atthat time. I am a mother of 6 children and would never give up any of my children and there were some hard times but we worked through it. But, I do know some mothers that gave up their children for various reasons and their not celebrities. As for Janet, no one knows why she gave up her child and the child can only go by what everyone has told her (the child). let's do the math.this child was alledgedly concieved in 1984 when she was married to Debarge..according to his brother..who broke the story in 1995. Renee was 18 at the time. Now if she was born through Janet in 1984 or 1985..she would have been age 20 at the time the story broke..not age 18 as she reportedly was. so she was too young to be Janet and James Debarge's daughter. I hate to hear that she will do a tell all book. I don't know whether or not this is true or what, I remember my aunt telling me that when she was younger she had heard Janet was preggers by her then husband, but it just went away. The rumor out here in Gary has been that Janet has had a child/children and the oldest sister was keeping the child/children because of her pop icon status and a child would somewhat diminsh her *** appeal. Rumors may not be true but behind every rumor there is the possibility of truth, Janet does not bear the burden of proof.
So if Janet supposedly have to come out with a secret that this is her so call daughter, maybe Jay Z need to tell the world that he supposedly has a son right or maybe Kelly Rowland is really Matthew Knowles child huh?

If this girl is indeed Janet's child I just think that's wrong to deny a child period. Why is it ok for celebrities to deny children but if an "average joe" did it they are looked down upon? If I was Janet's child and my whole life she was denying me to the public I think I would grow up pretty unsure of myself and confused..especially as a young child..I'm all for celebrities keeping their lives personal and *** their kids from the press but to flat out deny them I think it is so wrong..

When they showed the show Unsung on Tv One..the one about Debarge..their whole family..I saw the daughter on there but they didn't mention Janet being the mother...I can understand her not wanting to speak of him since he abused her in the past..but if this is her child then she should be a mother to her for once...I did hear somewhere that Mama Debarge said that Janet was the mother..I just don't remember where I heard that..Also its a shame that Chico Debarge got in trouble with the law again..I think he was the youngest Debarge...Though like the last person said.I don't think thats the daughter up there..it was a completely different girl on Unsung..

I remember reading a 1980's Jet magazine as a teen with Janet and James DeBarge on the front cover, and Janet was full blown pregnant. She claims not to have had a child before, that's such a lie!. What kind of mother whether your a Jackson family member or not, denies a child?. I heard back then that the DeBarge family took care of Renee' and Janet gave child support every month to keep the news silent. I pray that Renee does clear the air, and no one stops her!. This girl is Brandi Jackson the daughter of Jackie Jackson and his late wife. She was supposedly adopted but somehow bears a resemblance to the Jackson/Debarge family.
