HUEmanbro, you are exactly right. My friend's aunt went throught this a couple years ago. A black dermatologist confirmed it. She was told not to wear ponytails, weaves, braids, etc for the reasons you mentioned. She has since gone natural and her hair is much healthier. Thank God they were able to treat it in time, that it did not develop scar tissue bc when scar tissue develops permanent baldness occurs.

Most don't know it yet. They just have an intense itching of the scalp and assume it's just dandruff or dirt or whatever, but dermatologists and beauticians have been finding small worms burrowed into scalps. Weaves coming out of Korea, India, etc. are the prime suspects.
