: Last night MTV announced the winners of Making The Band 4. Instead of creating a four-piece - as Diddy originally planned - the Bad Boy founder decided to add a fifth man to the group. The winners were Willie, Brian A, Qwanell, Mike and Robert (all pictured below)/
And then Diddy did the unthinkable. He gave Donnie, who didn't make it into the group, a solo deal with Bad Boy. Guess he can now join the 500 other "signed" Bad Boy artists that will never release another song ever.
But what was most interesting about last night's finale was how Diddy was able to get all the members of Danity Kane to pretend that they're still a group....

I am so glad that Robert, Qwanell and Brian A made it they were my favorites!!! These guys are all talented and I absolutely love how Robert looks after he cut his hair. It is a great look for him!!! I was a little upset when Donnie didn't make the band but the end was a huge surprise when Diddy extended a solo contract to him!!! It was so emotional to see his mommy shed happy tears.. I am happy for all of the guys and I wish them the best!!! And MTO you did not have to reinforce that he lost!!! He didn't lose perhaps he got the best deal of all...

I love the group, they all can sing. Love the ballot version of that song, it was great. That was some good singing on the show though.
I like Mike, Willie wasnever a fav of mine, looks good, sounds good..but I just never cared about him, I like Robert, his GF is a trip I know she is super proud of him though. I BELIEVE THAT THIS GROUP WILL ACTUALLY WORK! There is a SERIOUS need for a hot male group, and though Diddy has a track record of letting his folks 'fade into nothingness' they should be hotttt for a minute because the industry is lacking a real black boy group...

Oh, and big ups to Willie repping the Chi! And I'm so mad I missed the finale...this was the best season of MTB by far...except for that one girl on the season of rappers 'delerious' or something like that that got mad when she didn't make it and cut her hand...that was classic!

Diddy did a good job forming a group but can he keep them together. I wouldn't have give donnie a solo deal but he's got to cater to a certain audience. I love the group minus Q (has sounded great last night for like the first time, he's not talented to me) and Brain (he can sing but he's a corn ball to me). I would have LOVED MORE is Jermeey and the tall sexy Brian would have made it (he sounded/looked so good last night...ooohhhh). Glad he chose five. This was the one season that so much talent was present, I can only imagine how tough it was to pick a handful. I had my eye on the five he chose although I felt bad for DeAngelo. The makeover looks better so I hope he doesn't regret the haircut. Robert looks better w/the curly fro and everybody else who had a major makeover looks better. All that crying about those ugly braids paid off for the sexiness. I hope these guys can do something with all that talent. It would be a shame if they don't. And, that song is HOT!

Anyway, I was kind of surprised that Diddy didn't keep the yt factor in there. He seemed so set upon having half his girl band be white that I thought he'd do the same for the boy band...but then again, most colorstruck men like him fear giving the white males the same props that they do the white females....seperating them would mean he still gets paid offa the dude (in case someone else picked him up and made Diddy look stupid) meanwhile having power over his career as a solo artist.
Donnie was pretty arrogant when his 'dancing' skills weren't recognized and Diddy gave him a solo career, while his dance instructor got the boot? Sounds kinda fishy to me...
I would have definitely left out Willie he just seems like a reject genuine to me but this is not the group i wou big mike, robert, Q just a lil too gay for me (that's why diddy picked him!) i would have kept both brians but to be honest i know diddy is going to try and cross them over so he had to go with a crossover look. I didn't watch the DK season and I don't really listen to them now, but out of all the MTBs that I've seen, this one was the best talent wise. I think a male group is what R&B needs right now. Hopefully, Diddy will concentrate on making this group as successful as they can be. Congrats to all the winners.

I can see why Donnie may have gotten a solo deal. He's a lot more active than some of the ones who were eliminated and has more showmanship. Being able to play an instrument is a plus too. Even if dancing's not one of his strong suits, he can probably get there. Just saying...could be why he got it.

Mike Bivens said (on Wendy Williams show when the Laurie Ann thing came about) that if Diddy does not do right with the band that he will personally take them on and keep them in the spotlight so they won't be forgotten about like all his other acts. He said this is a baby N.E. and anything his name was tied too he did not want to fail..

Lol @ gigi You have a lot of good points. Willie is handsome, looks and acts like a heterosexual. From Total to Danity Kane they are just not believable as a group. Maybe when I think of girl modern R&B groups I think of En VOgue, SWV, JADE, Brownstone, Xscape and then the latest people Allure, 702, Destiney Child when they had 4 people before they unleashed Beyonce on us. This is the best season of making the Band by far. They were all good. All of them ripped Exclusively. I will buy the album for sure if they keep it coming like that! I am keeping my fingers crossed that Puffy will get his producing magic back and not ruin a good thing because we all know they have talent.

I think he put Donnie as a solo artist only b/c he wanted an all urban male group and Donnie didn't fit that image. MTB is just a vehicle for Diddy to stay on TV...he gets these "groups" all hyped up and performing meaningless tasks for his amusement and then he moves on like some kid who grew tired of his once favorite toy. So unless they done brought their analease lube he wont be so bothered after their firsy CD if it doesnt go platinum.
Brian H. didn't make the group but I think he had one of the best voices, especially when I heard him singing last the ballad to "Exclusive"!! That boy sounds too good. But I knew Dyshon wasn't going to make the group (his ass shouldn't have never worn that big ass white coat when they opened up for NE, he knew exactly what he was doing, trying to make his self stand out more to be the so-called "lead" singer, lol). I figure he was going to cut Brian H. because his look didn't fit the group too much. He was much taller than the rest of the guys so I think thats what did it for him. Other than that I'm happy with Diddy's decision, I think he made a very good choice. I just pray to God he don't let them go to waste. I hope Danity Kane come back out with something cuz they first album was my shiit!!!!1

Just like someone else said, when they let Brian H. go I stopped watching the show! He was by far the best singer. Robert was up there with him, but Brian H. had better range. But I knew his height would be an issue. He didn't fit the look. I think another record label will pick him up though, because he is way too good! If you are reading this Brian H., keep your head up. You will make it!!
On a side note, wtf was he thinking picking Qwanell/howyoudoin. He looks like a kid. I don't see this group lasting.

higher an independant reputable agent. higher a marketing guru. borrow and invest all u can. 1st & foremost invest into the band. don't waste any money. don't spend what u haven't earned. tell the peops u holla at them later, they will luv u again after u prove that the money will be there to stay.
The only reason i am happy for those boys is because i know that their HEARTS are still noble and just. But Diddy will soon change that innocense in them - that is what's so sad about it all. The boys that did not make the Band are the real winners. They will soon find this out after hearing about what is in store for these fellows. This industry is so corrupt that Diddy even admitted that some of the Show's production was not reality based. For the one's that did not make it - destiny sort to keep you safe from harm. I find it interesting that Diddy gave Donnie a solo deal yet...all the other guys can dance and sing way better than him. Why would he get the best deal????? Because he's white! It's ashame. Exactly Diddy is so full of S*IT, he cut Brian H because he says he didn't fit in with the chemistry but gave Donnie a solo deal for the same reason. I think Brian H and Deangleo should have been in that band or gotten a solo deal. But they are probably better off. With all that exposure they're bound to get a deal with a label that has a better track record than Bad Boy

yall sleeping on robert, he's such a cutie! He has crazee energy & stage presense, tight vocals, nice skin, smile, dimples, if he hit the gym the boy would be dangerous! I love the band diddy picked tho, willie has sex appeal, brian has a sexy voice, mike got that soul, Q throws me off a lil but he has good energy. Donnie will do well he has a white & black (on tha strength of the show) audience. Lookin foward to the future show of them back in the house. LETS SEE WHAT THEY ALL DO!
Everytime I look at Willie, I go "damn he fine" and everytime I look at Brian, I think about when he challenged ole boy singing end of the road and the original house members backed him up.
