Saw it in Bergdorf Goodman in NY. Where has Dawn Lewis been? Steve's family looks great. Steve's son is identical to him and looks like he's a great young man. i can't believe y'all don't know Chuck Brown the Godfather of go - go and i live in philly. Any one of you could have gone to Steve's party he advertised it on the radio station. you might not have been in the pics that mto has up on their site but you sure could have partied with these same people. It was a weekend affair in Vegas so don't hate cause you can rest asure that I will be At the next affair next year. It was The Hoodie Awards. Something that started in Los Angeles Recognizing the neighborhood Businesses. There was people from all over the United States that went, just regular people. And boy is his son cute he looks just like Steve. Well I'm out. Peace Y'all.
The Hoodie Awards honors "stars" of the community like best car wash, best church choir, best beauty salon, barbershop, community leader, etc. from across the country. People vote and the nominees attend the award show. Celebrities present the awards to the winners. The event wasn't totally an "oldhead" affair -- Robin Thicke, Cupid, and Tank performed. 8,000 people attended. Whatever you might think of Steve Harvey (and his wives and "crayola" suits -- that's funny), nobody else is doing anything quite like this. I attended one in L.A. a while back and enjoyed seeing regular folk getting some recognition. BET J will air an hour of the show during the Thanksgiving weekend.
