While some of Obama's positions are different from mine I do plan on casting a vote for him. On the Republican side I have to agree Ron Paul is a very intersting candidate I like alot of what he has to say.
Giuliani oh hell no. There is something about that guy that rubs me the wrong way.
And Hillary definitely not. She and her husband are nothing but professional politicians and I can't stand them.

Quotas is the reason Ron Paul gave to NOT vote for the bill. It's what white people focused on. But the underlying and most important issue, the one that black people talked about daily on shows like Tom Joyner, Tavis Smiley and others is that this was the bill that took away our rights to vote.
White politicians didn't want to deal with it but a huge phone calling and letter writing campaign forced everyone but Ron Paul to vote for the bill.

Thanks for telling me I don't understand politics. Now that THAT'S clear I'll just say this last thing and take my politically challenged azz and sit in a corner somewhere.
Anytime a politician vote against an American Citizens' God given right to vote, it doesn't matter what message he was trying to send, it's wrong.
That bill was all set to expire but it was Black People who fought for our rights. If we didn't, Ron Paul and others would have been saying...
"We're sorry you can't vote but we got these quota's we gotta think about. We'll try to give back the right to vote after the next two or three presidential elections".
In essence Ron Paul was willing to send us back to pre-civil rights era legislation so his kids can get a job over a black man. We would have become third world citizens in the land of the free.
And you know what happens to people who loose their political power. Sheep to the slaughter.
PS. Black politicians tried unsuccessfully to remove the voting rights act from the civil rights bill and make the legislation a permanent right. They failed. So, sometime in the future we will have to fight for our right to vote again. No other nationality has to pass legislation to vote in America. Wow, I guess we are third class citizens.

Ron Paul?!
Are you ready for the end of capitalism and the beginning of socialism? He is telling everyone what they want to hear, however, that does not eliminate the fact that we are running a huge national deficit in which the bottom line figures are not known due to the secrecy of the spending in Iraq. No taxes sounds nice, however, how do you think that they deficit and the monies owed to other nations is going to be paid? Moreover, he has voted against virtually every bill that would increase government spending where it's needed the most. Our schools are suffering, and state taxes will never be able to compensate for the lack of resources in our inner-city schools.
He doesn't believe in abortion, however, he does not agree that it is a crime against an unborn child if attacks a pregnant woman who thereafter loses her child. Where is the logic in that? He takes the moral and biblical high-road when it comes to abortion, but does not stand in opposition to gay marriage? Inconsistent. But he voted against their ability to adopt children. Again, what is his moral source?
He's not consistent on civil rights or the sanctity of life. He jumps all over the place because he does nothing but tell people what he thinks they want to hear. Being that we do live in a United Nation, the moral fabric of our nation would be permanantly destroy if we allow each state to completely make their own rules.
He is a fascist who tries to pose as a libertarian, and he is nothing but a dictator waiting to happen. He has ties with a well known white supremacist. He has published writings in white supremacy news papers. He has made the following comments:

Please learn about who you are supporting before you begin to bash a notable candidate who has been consistent from the begining on all of his positions. He(Senator Obama) does not tell us what we want to hear, he is the most honest and consistent of the bunch. If you want to discuss his positions in more detail, please initiate an intelligible dialogue instead of emotionally ranting. Please do not come in here and imply that we are an uneducated bunch who are incapable of doing thorough research on the presidential candidates before making a qualified decision. Thank you MyBoaz13 for posting such an articulate statement on the political thinking of Ron Paul. It is interesting at how many people know so little about the politcal leaders of this country. It is really sad.
We are currently stuck with the worst president in history who has been bent on global domination and using the taxpayers to fund his revenge war against Iraq and Saddaam Hussein. I am truly surprised at one of the comments above who stated that they would not vote for a Muslim. This is the type of ignorance and bigotry that got Bush elected.
There have been emails floating out of the Clinton campaign saying the Obama was Muslim and had a Muslim agenda. Playing upon the ignorance and fears of Americans has gotten us allowed the GOP to rip Americans of the rights and destroy one of the first civilazations that was in existance at the time of Christ.
For those who do not know anything about Islam, and I am not talking about the Nation of Islam. Muslims believe Christ was a profit. They believe that Abraham was a prophet. Islam was formed as the third religion following Judism and Christianity. Please note that if we had never been taken, most of us would be Muslim as there are more Muslims than Christians & Jews combined.
Educate yourself. Educate your children and please register to vote. But most important, cast the ballot for change and the improvement of our society not just in the US but also on the world stage. |

Without alliances, we would not have any trade discounts, and the products would be more expensive to the U.S. consumer. Rest assure that there would also be increased tariffs, which would also be passed to the American consumer. Prices would increase, and consumer spending would weaken. This would screw up our bond market completely, as a result, our stock market would be even more volatile than it is now. |

Also, if you had the political knowledge that you imply, then you would know that none of the candidates have a perfect voting record and it's natural to miss votes due to the fact that you have to be physically present to do so.
