I don't know I thought Kellz and his wife had seperated (finally) at least according some stuff I read on one of those trash news sites called Media Take Out or something. Actually mzfurman, you are mistaken. He illegally married Aaliyah when she was 15. Her parents didnt sign any papers and they (Robert and Aaliyah) lied at the courthouse and said she was 18. When her parents found out, after 3 days, they filed papers to have it annuled and it was. Because it was an illegal union.
The only time Aaliyah would talk about him, she admitted that he was abusive to her and basically kept her locked up in his house while he was banging a bunch of other chicks on the side including other artists that he worked with.(which is how he met the girl he peed on) She made the decision not to file charges, based on the publicity and the horrors of having to be publicly known an the girl that was molested by R. Kelly or even worse, nothing would happen and ppl would take his side ...as in what happens in most sexual assault cases, ppl believe the guy! Thants why upwards of 60% of rapes go unreported!
He is a pedophile....There are 2 incidence we know of that he used his position of authority to assert himself sexually with a minor, just because he still has relations with women over 18 doesnt mean he aint got a teen in the back.
As for waiting for a trial, when has a trial meant that justice will prevail? Just because someone gets found not guilty, doesnt mean that they didnt do it, and the other way around as well.

Actually the documents were on the news many years ago when it happened. You have to know what state it was in and the records will be with them, only now they will be sealed, because it was invalid due to Aaliyah being a minor. But it was on the news and all the news show at the time....
as for her saying bad things about R. Kelly, she always refused to speak about it and one time she did an interview with MTV (the VJ is the older guy with the gap in his teeth and he's still there doing news stories) and thats when she made that comment and it was quite a few yars after the fact.

She is a witness in a federal investigation against him. This trial is no where near over. At some point, She will have to testify again, And once they find out she is living in his house? But back to the point, all you that have passed judgment, remember this; the trial, is not won on public opinion( ask OJ), it is won on EVIDENCE. What you think you have as evidence, may not see the light of court, because it was suppressed. So if the tape never makes it in to the trial, what do you have: NOTHING!! Think like this..if Marcia Clarke and Christopher Darden has spent as much time preparing their case, instead of cross examining each other, OJ might have been convicted. See a lot of you posters here would never sit on a jury, b/c you have already formed an opinion one way or the other. And by this board, you still have a mistrial. |
