The fight was between two counties. The writer never said how many ppl were involved. That football player could not have been the only witness. Obviously he was on the opposite side. Why would he snitch on ppl who had his back during the fight.
The writer never said whether the pregnant woman was involved in the fight or just an innocent bystander. So opinion has to be reserved in her case.

I can't stand this no snitching thing. Its just goes to show that we are afraid to come together as a community to stamp out these trouble makers who give us a bad name. Its one thing to not snitch on a friend if they do something minor, but if this is a true and his friend shot somebody then he needs to be charged with withholding information and serve some sort of time. I still think its crazy though. If you can't do the time then don't do the crime, cause whoever did this didn't have any business with a gun. |

Pay close attention to the part that says

New Orleans Saints defensive end Charles Grant was stabbed in the neck and a pregnant woman was shot and killed early Sunday during a fracas at a southwest Georgia nightclub.
Grant, 29, was released after being questioned as a witness in the shooting that killed Korynda Reed, 23, of Blakely, where the altercation occurred, said Capt. Will Caudill, chief investigator with the Early County Sheriff's Office.
Blakely is the Early County seat, about 190 miles southwest of Atlanta. Police said the case remains under investigation, and no suspects have been named.
Details on the altercation are not yet clear.
Grant, a former University of Georgia standout, was treated and released from Early Memorial Hospital, Caudill said.
Reed was pronounced dead at Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, Ala. Investigators are awaiting an autopsy on the pregnant woman to be performed at the GBI crime lab, Caudill said.
A statement issued late Sunday night by Grant's attorneys, Edward Tolley and Bill Stone, asserted that their client contacted authorities and sought medical attention immediately after he was attacked by an unidentified assailant.
"Since that time, Charles has willingly and voluntarily assisted police in providing additional information concerning the attack ... [and] is continuing to assist police in recounting the events that transpired in and outside of the nightclub as needed," the statement said.
Grant, who now lives in Kenner, La., grew up one county over from where Sunday's fight occurred, in Colquitt. He attended Miller County High School, where he tied Herschel Walker's then-state record with 45 touchdowns in 1997.
Grant scored 101 touchdowns in his three-year career at Miller County and finished with 3,472 all-purpose yards his senior season.
Drafted by the Saints in the first round of the 2002 NFL draft, Grant was tagged as the organization's franchise player following the 2006 season. He had 2 sacks in 2007 while starting 14 games for the Saints. During his six-year career, Grant has 38 sacks.

There are just too many holes in this story. The story minimizes that fact that Charles Grant got stabbed in the NECK. Do all of you negative people that are ready to throw the book at Charles… when you don’t even know the facts understand what being stabbed in the neck means? IT MEANS THAT SOMEONE WAS TRYING TO KILL CHARLES GRANT. YOU DON’T JUST STABB SOMEONE IN THE NECK OF ALL PLACES UNLESS YOU ARE TRYING TO TAKE THEM OUT! The neck is a very delicate area and it is only by God’s grace that Mr. Grant is still living. Think about it, this club that they were in was not a very nice establishment; it was a hole in the wall, just like most of the clubs in little back woods country towns like Blakely. Everybody that has ever been in a hole in the wall club knows that there is a 50% chance that something may pop off while you are there so you need to be prepared to deal with whatever happens when it happens. This is not new, our young black brothers and sisters have been getting killed in clubs like this for years but several of you act as though you have never heard of this before. My heart goes out the family of the young lady that lost her life; she died for no reason at all. How dumb is it for Early County to go up against Miller County? What for? Are we playing sports here? Why can’t people just go out and have a good time without all of this foolishness?
The author of this story writes it as though they were standing beside Charles while he was looking at the person who pulled the trigger. There are too many unanswered questions here. Like:
1. Where was the author the night this all went down?
2. Was the author at the scene of the crime when it happened?
3. Did the author see who did the shooting?
4. Does author know for a fact that the person that did the shooting was a friend of Charles?
5. Did the author witness Charles witnessing the shooting and if so why don’t they give the police a full report?
For all we know the person that wrote this could have been the one that shot that young lady and is just trying to divert the attention from them by using a high profile name like Charles Grant. Let’s not convict this man without having substantial evidence. This story is a collaboration of “the word on the street” and someone’s opinion. |

No one here knows the circumstances of why the Pregnant woman was in the club - It could have been a birthday celebration...we all have been to one of those "Birthday Party's at Club XXXX"
The dilemma is where he values human life?
At some point in time Karma will play it's role - and we will find him collapsed on the football field of a heart attack, or in some crazy/freak accident in the off season.
Think about it.
All the people I know that did dirty things like this, (won't come forward to help someone else), all of the people who are like this - SOMETHING always happens to them. It's always fluke/freaky accident.

How can wish something like that on someone you probably don't even know. Charles is such a sweet person. And all that know him personally knows that. He is just like any of us except he is a pro athlete. I mean damn can we help it if he is not forgetting where he came from. And trust me he hasn't. He has done much for his community in Ga. and surrounding areas. TOOOOO much focus has been on him saying he is not snitching. You have no idea what he has told the police as far as the investigation is concerned. Just because he did not say in front of hundreds of people how do you know what has transpired as of lately? TRUST You obviously don't. The person that sent this story in is obviously trying to hate on him. Yes he was there. Charles knows his status and what he has at stake so he tries to avoid confrontation as much as he can. He is a very positive person and does not take life for granted. He is a positive example for a lot of young boys. He was just out having fun but at the wrong time. Charles is a family person and it is hard for him to separate himself from family. So his cousin got into an altercation. He cannot control the actions of others. However, he was trying to remove himself (and cousin) from the the situation when all the violence started. Charles is not going to risk his life (or that of his family) nor career to protect a murderer. He has nothing to prove to you or the person that sent this B.S. in. He has been cooperating with the police since Day 1. Hell why don't he just hold a news conference and publicly announce the name(s). Would that make you happy? You will never know what he has told the cops. So you continue to think he is not "snitching". The people that need to know knows better than that!!!!!
