Firstly, the attitudes I'm reading on this site in this post and MOST posts help no one, and the fear of a gay man going on in the black community, the fear of being out and open about who you are(as most people definitely 'protest too much' for people who don't have their own inner issues with their own sexuality) are a HUGE reason for the prevalence of HIV and disease in the black community.
The more people come out and act the way most people in this post have acted, the more ignorance will cloud the community.
Homosexuality isn't a disease, it isn't a bad thing and it's not going away, so I suggest you all learn how to deal with it in a positive manner before ignorance takes over every aspect of your lives.
Who cares if he's gay? Who cares if that is him? Who cares what he gets up to, as long as he's safe?
It's not your business and if it is, then you should think of more to say than foolishness about booty boys and what not.
That sort of thinking is ignorant and dangerous.

Personally I don't have a problem with gays and lesbians, I just don't like the down low crap! I'm tired of men going to jail having sex with men and coming home to their families talking about "what happens in jail, stays in jail". Religious officials molesting boys and men lying about their sexuality and then coming out the closet after a 5, 10 yr relationship.
homosexuality isn't going anywhere ppl whether you approve or not.....as far as diseases & all that goes we all must take pride in our bodies, regardless of our sexual orientation or race, get tested on a regular basis to be very much aware of our status, practice safe sex, & educate ourselves on the disease out there, their symptoms or what not

Very true about it being a problem among women also. I noticed that a lot when I went to college. Again makes you wonder have the amount of homosexuals always been this way and just coming out now b/c people feel more comfortable or just an epidemic taking over in today's society.

True enough that homosexuality isn't going anywhere and safer sex needs to be practiced more. But tell that to the wife who's found out that after 10 years of marriage that she has caught HIV from her husband who's been on the DL since they were dating. The reality is that that happens to a lot of married women. And not most married couples even think about using protection or getting tested b/c it's an assumed idea that you don't have to anymore once that ring is on your finger and the papers are signed.
I don't have a problem with gays and lesbians...I don't like or agree with their lifestyle...but I'm not going to discriminate on them for it. Just b/c I don't understand those feelings doesn't mean that they don't exist for others. Besides, there's probably plenty of things I do that they would agree with either. But I do have a problem with these men who are so selfish as to look out for their image/status in society and continue to do what they do on the side while lying to their female partners and keeping them in the dark. That ish right there needs to stop.
Like I said before, I rather a man come straight out the closet completely than to be hiding while continuing to spread diseases and heartache to girlfriends, wives, and sometimes kids (if they have them) kept in the dark.
