Rap is supposed to be confrontational, and anti authority. This is the core, the heart of rap music. If you take these quintessential ingredients away. What remains is nothing but boring, bland everyday, ordinary life.
Well, most of the population is already living that very ordinary life.
Why would anyone pay to listen to that? I mean would you go see a movie about something, that you could see just by looking out your front window?
Rap is about going against the system. A man, or woman, defining his, or her own rules, whether good or bad.
Rap is not supposed to be about conforming to the system. It’s about saying f@#k the system, and blazing your own way, come what may.
I don’t want to hear you rap about your boring as conformist jobs.
