Yes Black people, a lot of Black actors/actresses had to sleep their way to get roles in a lot of these movies based on negative stereotypes. @TDR25....i definitely don't dissagree with you, a lot of those blackploitation actors and actresses did some sleeping around to get parts in some of those movies. pam in the days as well as most of the other actors weren't the best in their field (richard roundtree and ron o'neal were the only legitimate actors)but they did what they had to in order to be in showbiz.they are now respectable actors and businesspeople.and i enjoy some of those old movies to this very day.i still have respect for pam grier as well as melvin van pebbles (i'm feelin me some cleopatra jones too) |
