I'm up to 15:26 in the video now and I'm pretty much in agreement with most of what he said. We are all bombarded with media images that potentially shape our perceptions of people and the world in general. Case in point, WHERE'S THE BLACK FEMALE CAST MEMBER in this 90210 remake? Will the Black actor be paired up with a white girl, causing the same misleading perceptions about a Black man's TRUE and REAL appreciation of a Black woman in our society.
Regarding the difference between White's and Black's parenting techniques,he was dead on as well. However it's that lack of a firm parenting style in my opinion, that leads many whites to be ill equipped to deal with adversity in their day to day lives. Some Black parents, whether it be stress or whatever, sometimes seem to go overboard however.I've rolled my eyes a few times at what seemed to be Black people putting on a show,while scolding their children in public. Also due to the fact, I never once saw Claire Huxtable beat Theo,she seemed like a cool mom to me too.LOL. Bottom line is, we're not as bad as the media portrays us and they're [white folk] not 1/4 as great as the media makes them out to be either.

Its true lots of young black girls want that thug type. But, lots of white women like the bad boys when there young too. I messed around with the type of girls I would never marry when I was a teen also.
The difference I see is that the white girls know theres no future with this dude their just having fun. They seem to be better at protecting themselves and using birth control. While lots, not all, but too many black women end up getting pregnant and jaded by these dudes. Then when they get older and more mature, they want a better type of man. But, they have all this baggage and issues that they bring to the table.
If I coming at you completely single, with no, kids, and drama free, shouldnt I expect the same thing?
Dont get me wrong, I know there are a lot of Black women out there who dont have these issues, but it seems there few and far in between.

Yes that is true...You're right to want and expect that...My cousins always ask me when am I going to have a child? I mean I'm like wait a minute...I'm in college entering the medical/healthcare field...And although I'm in a very healthy relationship, I'm not married as of yet and my main concern is finishing school...So why the fukk do I want a kid right now?? It's like are you people crazy...But they're unhappy in their lives and having financial hardship so I guess they want the same for me...They don't want to admit that I'm being smart...See anyone who really had your best interest at heart would tell you to go ahead and finish school, get married, get a nice HOUSE(not an apartment)enjoy YOUR life and have fun, THEN have kids...

I watched an episode of Tyra banks on Youtube, in which a black woman comes on a national TV show and say, " there aren’t too many good black men left...so, I will have to date white men."
No one stopped her and question her definition of a "good black men." No one asked what her qualifications for labeling a man as being "good." No one asked her what made her think she was a "good woman." No one asked her, why she is so certain she may find a "good white man."
They continue to sling bullshyt...saying, "most black men are jail, gay, DL or married to white women."
No one stopped her and asked her to quantify those numbers. It is easy to sit on TV show or on a website and use the word "most." To me, that's not good enough.

Its not finger pointing...Good Black men and Black women are both struggling to find good mates, which explains why a similar percentage of both groups are unmarried (although the media doesnt talk about the percentage of black men....Which is probably due to the fact that brothas dont bellyache about it as much).
I think it comes down to what someone considers a good man or a good woman....Things like character, intellect, personality and values make up that determination for me. However we live in a world where too many people think that they are a good woman or man SOLELY because they have a degree, 401K, mortgage and car note....They base "good" on superficial rather than substance. I've met "good" women who were struggling single moms just trying to make it...and i've also met educated fools who were just plain azzholes, good resume aside...

Another thing Papamurf...Black women are naturally more fertile than whites. THat is why fertility clinics are filled by white women. They also contract chlamidya, gonorrhea, syphilis (damn near everything besides HIV) at higher rates than Blacks and in some cases double that rate. They should've been focusing on all their homeboys that have babies and how they are making out since BLack women graduate high school, college, and obtain careers at higher rates than their male counterparts. Well the Black man that hasn't been watered down. I mean look above us and see how many Black men are underhandedly dogging Black women while praising whites in the same response. Stuff like that just makes me appreciate the true Black man that I have at home.
I mean only 30-40 years ago Black men were with their women working by their sides and acting like men. They wouldn't let anyone disrespect their queens, but nowadays these watered down men have FINALLY received some admiration from other races and the Black woman is now a nobody to them. That is real talk about "Loud black mothers embarressing their sons in public" the effect it could have on these young men and their perspective towards black women in general...and in addition to that they way some of us black women belittle our black men in public, "IN POST ON THE INTERNET" at work...why would they feel like we are on their team its like we are trying to compete with the black man instead of trying to complete the black man...it is a wake up call for me being the mother of a young black man...how i treat him may effect how he engages with black women in the future, thats deep!

We need to stop judging others and worrying about what makes them happy and do some soul searching and find out what makes us happy. I am NOT placing all of the blame on the woman, BUT let's be real here and stop trying to sugar coat things...Who are the ones ending up getting their hearts broken or getting left to raise the kids by themselves? There is waay too much contraceptive out there nowadays for a woman to be having a baby when she knows she isn't financially stable...And they even make the morning after pills for slip ups incase the condom fail...
I've heard too many single young women brag on becoming a young mother like it is a badge of honor...And they think they know every damn thing and get so defensive and argumentative when people try and tell them something...They think they know EVERYTHING...They think a baby will keep a man nearby...
I mean you and I and whoever else can come down on the men all day, but it isn't going to change the fact that these women have alot more options when it comes to preventing pregnancy than the men...Or the fact that most of them have to struggle and raise their kids alone...And with some, even if the man is in the child's life, the women are bitter and upset emotionally because the man may have moved on with another chick...I know TOO MANY situations like this, so my opinion on this will remain the same...It's time for us sistas to stop playing the victim roles all the time because we do have OPTIONS...
I think everyone who is in here making a big deal out of this needs to chill. There is nothing wrong with a man and a woman loving each other enough to get married. Color should not matter when it comes to who you want to spend your life with. And stop with the stereotypes of thugs and babymamas, all black women and men are not like that. The problem with most black relationships is we always hold on to what someone else did to us and punish the next person, instead of letting it go, and giving the relationship a chance. Stop hating on each other and love each other. We gotta stop tearing each other down thats what they want us to do. Try to help each other. Men if you see a women in need of help with some bags or something offer to help,Women tell that man when he doing a good job, let him know you care. We got to start taking care of each other. We need to teach our children better. I'm tired of the negativity. Stop always thinking someone trying to play you and open up your heart to others it's good for you.
