I find it comical when the white working lower class tends to direct their anger to the black masses either working class or upper income white collar. You are misguided and sadly mistaken. Your beef should is with the McCain’s of the country, not with the black masses. Often, (not always) we as black people are under-employed and under-educated, due to a lack of good schools and descent resources in our communities. We have to fight twice as hard for a descent education, for that promotion, for that home loan and yes for the White House. Do you recall conservatives, or anyone asking if Bush was ready for the office of the presidency? They gave him the highest office in the world on a silver platter and allowed him to squander our nation as if her were playing a board game with our lives hanging in the balance! Why constantly ask if Mr. Obama is ready? The man has to fight everyday to prove that he is ready for the task! Trust me; just like Mr. Obama & Michelle, everyone black person wants to do better for them and their families, who among us would not? Nine times out of ten it is not because we as black people do not want a job or an education; it is because we have to contend with the racist ideologies of people like you who would rather hire an unqualified white person over a qualified black person. Ultimately, some (not all thank GOD) of our youth turn to crime because they are forced to as a means of survival and then of course, the “system” incarcerates them and uses them to make money and produce goods to be sold to the general population. It is a vicious cycle and a trap to begin with! Don’t blame us for the mess that the white people masses have created! You mentioned crack from the 80s, which had a devastating effect on urban communities…yet you made no mention of the fact that Ronald Regan, a white President of these United States funded his Contra war with the proceeds of the money by allowing cocaine that was later cooked into crack and delivered to the black and brown communities in urban America. Every one of your points are baseless dude, so just go somewhere and finish cooking your brain on the meth and do us all a big favor and die now; since your mother did not swallow you or spit you out on the dirt floor of the trailer when she had the chance to!

There were idiots like this in my high school. Yes, their rage is definitely misguided, but the fact is they couldn't succeed in anything in life, that's why they use drugs constantly to escape. To think their "mission" would be successful is ignorant, if they even had a plan at all. I bet they were just high and talking sh*t, not really going to do anything. This story is getting blown way out of proportion. Any real assasination attempt would be organized by right-wing extremists and well funded soldiers from blackwater or some other privately funded mercenaries. I want Obama for president for the same reasons as any democrat [and being of British/Iranian decent, as any minority]... but I fear for his life.
This could have actually happened. I'm sure there's many more plots already in the works and there'll be more if/when he's elected.
Obama as president would be a historic social/civil hurdle overcome, but sadly, I don't think it would be a long-lived situation.
