T.I., like every other person whose been brought up on child support charges has to fill out a financial form, stating assets, debts so on. the court also has to take in consideration that he has other children as well. and the fact that he lives in a mansion so his kids should to, I can see if he actually owned the damn mansion, but he's paying monthly bills like everyone else. so in the event he can't keep up with his payments, what makes you think that he can pay two morgages? When he's set to do his time, whose going to take over his bills then? is she going to want to pay for a mansion then? when he's gone to jail? Half of these rappers whole lives are on loan. She recieved a standard increase that many of us women here in Atlanta qualify for. This increase was based on his income, so don't get cauught up in the bling bling. You have no idea what his income is. the judge does. he had to provide it. the final income deduction is based on a number of things. They factor in his other children, her income, living standards, cost of living in the provided zip code..etc.. etc. I live here in Atlanta,and i've expererienced the child support bs. the laws recently changed and is very complex now. It does show some favor to the dads now. it's a bit more balanced. I'm sorry , she just needs to get a job. TI's money is not guaranteed for ever,..he is self-employed ! |

I have a cousin whose mother is a plastic surgeon. They live in a mansion but her father lives in an apartment. They have joint custody, so does that mean my Aunt is supposed to put him up in mansion so my cousin can live the same life style when she's with her father. Hell No!! What's disappointing about this story are two things:
1) These women, with no skills, can not look at these men as banks. How was she barely getting by on $2,000/month? If she worked that would've supplemented her income to care for her boys.
2) Teach your boys not to have sex with every Jane and Sally Mae. Teach him to protect himself. I constantly told my oldest son that there was no baby making out there for him. These groupies or bitter ex-girlfriends have made a mockery of the courts. The men look like fools with children living in 2+ sets of homes.
Is Tiny trying to have more kids by TI than the first one? You know there are women who try to do that and by the last immature article written about her, I wouldn't put it past her. She appears to be pregnant each year.

I'm not about to praise this man for doing what he's SUPPOSE to do. Taking care your own kids is standard so comparing him to what some other individual is or isn't doing is a moot point. I think the fact that he can afford to pay an amount of child care that is above some peoples income is equally irrelevant. A court decides each persons level of support based on state law and what that person makes. They don't take half a man's income, not even 30%. At the end of the day, the children that live with you are utilizing 100% of your income and resources. What is asked of a non-custodial parent is meager in comparison. Now in this situation, his income level is so high that yes she's doing herself a disservice by simply living off of it. But all you or anybody can do is what they are suppose to. How somebody else uses or abuses that resource is beyond your control and not worth stressing or having sh.y...t fits online over. The kids are taken care of, and he's paying his "court ordered" share. That's just what it is. I'm a woman, and no other woman can give me a bad name when I'm the only one responsible for my actions and the life I live so please quit with these overused cop out cliche's. They are tired. |

The judge should've ordered TI to pay a lot more than $3k per month. There shouldn't be such a huge disparity between living in a mansion with dad and "just getting by" with the mom. What child wouldn't prefer a life of luxury? The fact the judge had to force TI to increase his payments shows TI was perfectly willing to get away with paying less if he could. Is TI that cheap? |

Any woman can file child support claim...even if you are not the biological father of said child. The system is devised to keep government from wasting its money on a bunch of "usless eaters." They don't care who is paying or how much is being paid, as long as it is not them.

My son's father is ordered to pay $40 a week (since 1997) in child support, no medical, no private school no and extracurricular activities and no increase.
I'll teach her and the rest of the other baby mama's how to get by...I enrolled and graduated nursing school. I've been a RN for the last 8 years.
If he was a sanitation worker or the fry cook, I bet she be getting by. |

Wish my child support was 3 grand...shoot then I wouldnt have to work so hard. Like seriously to me....this shouldnt even be an issue if TI loves his kids...he would definitely make sure everything is straight for them....I dont know what ty pe of lifestyle they live when they with there mom but 2000 a month should be sufficient. He probably bought them a house...so they dont have to worry bout a mortgage just utilities...and if she has a job...she should be able to handle that. okay i am all for a man paying child support because the babies wernen't made only by one. but i do have a question. she wants her kids to live the good life right, so can she afford her half of the good life? can she pay for half of private school, or extra activities. because yes she has primary custody but the boys spend more than a weekend a month with their father. so if that is the case she needs to provide receipts to the judge and he looks at them and then decides okay. is he paying his half is she paying her half? with no job how in the hell is she paying her half? it drives me crazy when you get some women who have it okay and would have it better if they did their part. i am sorry. i am not going to ask my sons father to pay his half of private school when i can't pay mine. nor medical bills not covered by insurance (who is paying the insurance to keep them insured, probably him) or for them to participate in sports. and i view kim porter and the rest that don't do [EXPLETIVE] the same way. they worked for theirs you work for yours and both take care of the children financially not just one. |

I can't believe some of you are saying since his father lives in a mansion then the child should live in a mansion with his mom too. WTH?!!! I don't think so. Child support is for the financial expenses to raise the child, not live lavishly. Living in two mansions has nothing to do with child support.
These antiquated judges need to stop looking at the salaries of the celeb and take into account how many other children he has plus other expenses he's paying. If TI is paying for medical, dental, private school and extracurricular activities, this should be deducted from her monthly support. She should also have her own income.
To me, with the boys spending 40% of their time with their father and TI paying a huge supplement to their mother, plus helped her get a home, she should receive no more than the cost of living plus to clothe and feed the boys. That's it. $2,000/month was fine.
They wouldn't want me to be a family court judge! These women would learn that a baby by a celeb is not the gateway to wealth. |
