This is not an exclusive and MTO is the only site/"news" source that is reporting that Jennifer Hudson is performing. There will be a barrage of performers at the Inaugural Ball ranging from R&B legends to classical performers. Beyonce not performing is not news to me. It was reported a month ago!!!!
And some of you laides really need to get over yourselves as if your standards are higher than anyone's ranging from Beyonce to Rihanna. The booty shaking and gyrating is called PERFORMING!! Calling her a stripper sounds ignorant because at the end of the day her job is to entertain. She has perfomed in various costumes ranging from the infamous leotard to classic ball gowns and haute couture. And while some of you are calling her and her husband out about their humanitarian duties...did MTO post that Beyonce donated all of her proceeds from Cadillac records to a women's drug rehab/domestic abuse center in Texas??? NO! Did they post that her husband runs a foundation to equip African nations with clean, drinkable water??? NO!! These are just a FEW good deeds I've been made aware of and quite frankly its enough for me. But I guess you people would rather see people like Neffie and Frankie shucking and jiving for the cameras to represent keeping it real and Black. NO THANKS!! @PrincessZahara- I am not interested in purchasing her new album. After hearing garbabge like "upgrade you", Freakem dresses, Single Ladies, and Diva, I was pretty much done with her. However I will say I enjoyed listening to Halo and Ava Maria. Beyonce has a lovely voice but I'd be a liar if I said she had the BEST VOICe in the game. She doesn't. And while you clowning Mary J and Faith, Jay-Z was a former ex-drug dealer who poisoned MILLIONS of our black folk to earn his money. At least Mary and Faith were victims of drugs and not the actual SOURCE of drug DISTRIBUTION!!!
Mary and Faith rose up to fame by their sheer talent and undetered determination. When Mary sings, I FEEL her frustration through her lyrics. She's experienced life and you can sense this. Beyonce hasn't. She's lived under Daddy and Mommy's protective wing and unfortunately her ackwardness as an adult proves this. She can't even form a correct sentence properly so what does she know about life??? Nothing. Girl's been a millionaire at the tender age of 17. She doesn't know life and her shallow empty hearted songs demostrate this.
I never knocked her hustle because she's doing her thing. Her stregth lies in using her body and physical image to make her money. That's fine. But I personally don't think that is appropriate to have at the inauguration. Obamas epitomize struggle with integrity and dignity. Beyonce epitomizes glamour, coochie popping, and shallowness. It just wouldn't make sense for her to perform and I'm glad she isn't. Could you make sense of a belly dancer giving a sermon at Church???? NO. |

@princessZahara- Sweetie. Mary and Faith may have admitted to being whore and drug addicts but that's the BEAUTY of them.. The TRUTH! And the TRUTH has set them free. THE TRUTH has also given them the CREATIVE JUICES they used in song writing. I have never been a drug addict but I feel MARY when she singing about "NO MORE DRAMA" in her life. I too have had drama in my life so I totally relate to that. Mary and Faith are the queens of contemporary R and B and don't you forget it.
I can pop in Mary's "What's the 411" on now and get lost in an idyllic soulful grove. I can also listen to Faith's "Never knew a love" and feel nostalgic of urban hip hop in 1995.
Both albums are over 5 years old but the lyrical content, rhythem and their soulful, experienced, seasoned voices are timeless.
I can't say the same for Beyonce. I don't know if in 10 or even 20 years I'll be able to jam to Single ladies. I for sure wouldn't be able to jam to "halo" nor "if I were a boy" especially considering those aren't even HER own SONGS. Why don't you call it as it is? Beyonce is nothing more than an entertainer. She's not a creative musical genius that yall fans make her out to be. How can anyone relate to her??? booty shaking, fliping 5 pound lace fronts, and hollering about freak em dresses gets OLD and OVERPLAYED extremely fast. But hey it's your opinion if you think she the shi&. Just don't come sideways at others who feel differently. |

I have NEVER seen any of what most you claim about her. You say she's a narcissist; I say that she's an entertainer who not only puts out albums but sets goals for herself and her career and tries to achieve them. You say that she is not black enough or she bleaches her skin; I say that she's the same color as she's always been and you need to see an optometrist. You say that she's a slut; I ask you when have you heard of her sleeping with a bunch of men & what has she worn that you haven't seen others who have worn much worse. Besides, most of you who call her a slut are the ones with the slutty avitars, giving people back shots, chest shots, and hardly have no clothes on.
You don't have to be a fan of her music but as for me, I love Beyonce's music. She's a wonderful singer and performer. If you say that she can't sing, then maybe you need to visit the audiologist. I like her b/c she gives her all in everything that she does. She ventures out into other areas, sets goals and tries to achieve them, and when she falls short, she's not afraid to get the help and the training that she needs so that when she's ready to try again, she does it better. She's about her business. She likes to keep her personal life to herself. The persona that I get when I see her interviews is that she's a sweet person.

Oh my God, I am so so glad Bey isn't performing. I used to be a fan of her, like her and Jay as a couple but not as an artist.
