FIRST of all i live in atlanta, and i will be the first to tell you this isnt even TYLERS mansion, this is a home he had in CALI.
Secondly he is KNOw where near being broke, this man just opened a multi-million dollar studio in atlanta that can I have seen personally.
Third of all he just had a multi-million dollar home built from the ground up in atlanta , which is probably the reason why "due to the economy " he is selling at 3 million dollars.
NOW lets look at common sence here.. Would you rather have a 6 million dollar home, just sitting there, paying for it and not using it, or would you rather down the price (which i doubt its half), and try to sell it...DO the math. |

Tyler is NOT broke!!! That's his old house that has been on the market for 2 yrs in South Fulton. Even if sells it for 3 mil he'll still make a profit because it only cost him about 1.5/2 mil to build it. Plus dude just bought the old Delta headquarters here in Atlanta and turned that into his sound stage. MTO y'all slippin. If that is the same mansion that was used in the movie, “Diary of a Mad Black Woman” it has been on the market for years. As a matter of fact, it has been on the Market since that movie came out and that has been over 3 years. Tyler has not lived there since then. Perhaps it is better for Tyler financially to just let it go for $3 Million as opposed to holding out for the $6 million. The poor economy is hitting everyone hard. It isn’t economical for him to pay taxes and such on a home he isn’t living in. |

Sorry but I have to correct you on another accord. Being that I knew Tyler Perry's new mansion located just off the Chattahoochie River was still under construction. Further research took me to an aerial view on his home dated 10/17/2008. From that pic you can definitely see that his house was not completed then and would be impossible to finish in this short time.....It is 36,000 sqft you know!

While, I understand almost everyone is selling their property at a loss, why would you sell a property for less than you paid for it, if money is not an issue presently. 50 Cent has shaved like 5 million of the sales price of his Connecticut mansion. However, he bought it from Mike Tyson for like 5 million and I think it's currently listed for like 16-18 million, so he'll still see a healthy profit. Whereas, Tyler paid more than 3 million for his house. If I was worth 100 million, which has been reported as Tyler's net worth, I would just hold the property until the market starts to reverse itself. At least hold it, until you can break even. I'm sure Tyler has money, maybe he just wants to unload the property, be done with it and will claim the loss on his tax returns.

Maybe he wants to sell it to minimize the decrease in value before it goes down even more. The man made something like $125 million last year. Not to mention, a new spin-off show on TBS for a full season of 13 episodes. Cha-ching. C'mon MTO. |

i live in the atl and i see this crib at least once a week..... thats the old crib..... the new one is off the chain.... get the info valid and stop the hate.... tyler is one of the only black progress makers that will give anyone a chance to come up..... he finds talent in places that others would not be seen at..... i've seen him hire a band by just going out to dinner at a jazz spot... i know singers, actors and actresses that were discovered at local jam sessions..... he's a good brother to meet in the right places |
