It does phuck with you more than you realize. Some people don't think anything is wrong with them, and are too embarrassed to admit it. I suffered from survivor's guilt for a little while after I got back, and maybe mild PTSD. My husband had PTSD as well, but we're fine now.
Everybody's not so luck though. A lot of people lie on their surveys we had to take when we got back. They didn't admit to certain feelings they were having. I also think they give the surveys too soon, and should wait until we're back for a while. That way people can know for sure how it affected them. You're so happy to get back home you might not feel anything is wrong. |
