Firstly, I WORK in Buckhead WITH people from ALL OVER the ATL Metro area. And LIKE I SAID, they're COUNTRY and GHETTO.
Secondly, Conyers is EXACTLY 30 minutes from Midtown Atlanta and about 45 from Buckhead.
Thirdly, Conyers is VERY nice and QUIET and CRIME FREE (with the exception of that recent murder by that COUNTRY and Ignant man that decided to shoot his neighbor) -- So NOW I have to fear being called for Jury Duty after 3 years. Good grief -- there's one in EVERY crowd.
Covington: VERY redneck. I HAVE to admit. Conyers has more of "us" due to the trickle effect of living near Lithonia.
But you ARE correct: Buckhead and the CLOSELY surrounding cities are AFFLUENT and chock full of intelligent lifeforms. HOWEVER, the REST -- is country and GUTTER. |

However my favorite place in the U.S. to live is hands down Berkeley in the bay area, cali. Atlanta has too many wanna be bougie hood rich acting blacks and DC has too many "FIGHT THE POWER" "WE'S BE HELD DOWN" and straight up ignant blacks. This DC vs. Atlanta mess is stupid. I live in ATL and lived in DC. At the end of the day, the wealth is still controlled by the top 10 percent of the population. You can't own a home in DC with a yard. In Atlanta, you can't afford to pay the assessment fees to keep your damn property out of foreclosure. You get your car broken into in both places and there's a half-ass police response. Traffic sucks in both places. We are repping our cities so hard, and we don't have much of nothing to show for it. No it is the paradise for everyone come to live without all the bullshyt and discrimination. I am a native of ATL and I will continue to contest my love for this city. I have spent some time in all major cities in the north, south and midwest. NOW I really cant speak on the west coast, but as far as the other area named, Atlanta fairs way better. The opportunity for success here outways everywhere else alone. Add the growth, cultural improvements, landscaping, and the sheer desire for everyone to flock here says alot. And it is not just blacks, its people of all ethnic backgrounds wanting to live here.
The weathers decent, and in Atlanta (not the country outskirts) people respect each other and get along.

Not all DC is rowhouses/ I live in SE, Anacostia to be exact where a lot of the homes are not attached, and a lot of the neighborshoods are quiet. Now you must known the 16th Street side of NW got homes with plenty of yard. Most of the million dollar condo they have built up over the past few years in SE and NE focus on luxury, da hell I want a fireplace with only 1200sq lmao

My husbands job was going to move us to the ATL, but he got a better job offer somewhere elese. This dude named Brock was helping us in the River Crest sub division. Although the home we wanted was a bit pricy (lil over $600.000) it was well worth it considering the area in Fayette County and the schools are fantastic too. I like Atlanta tho. Things on the real estate front are a lil fuzzy right now but just trust in God and try and hang in their you are with the best builder on the east coast. Peace and Blessing to you brotha! |

If you really think about the life that Keisha has led, the troubles and the unhealthy background, her mom, sister and all the family dirty which has been laundered and hanging on the clothes line for two seasons, you can expect hearsay like this. New York, New Hampshire, and in a whole bunch of other poor ass broke ass areas. They keep yall segregated in DC and yall act like ya'll dont see that shiit. Reston is in VA! PG, Rockville, etc. are all suburbs of MARYLAND. As for culture? What "culture" of yours does DC have? DC is founded by, ran by, and left to inheritance by WHITE folks! When DC was thought of, there was NEVER a point in time when they thought "niqqas" would leave there. Yeah- it's plenty of culture and history there for White fols....very little for Blacks. Hell, that Chinatown area got culture for them, and the Blacks in DC have what??? Righhhhtttt....
