Fire4u, when the man is rich like that, courts do not neccessarily base everything off his earnings alone, but what exactly is needed for the child and would be a decent amount. Realisticly, that is more than enough for the children. She must do her part as a mother. She's lucky to receive a 6 figured alimony...which helps out tremendously for a person who doesn't have a job. And that lump sum should be invested.
Bob is very smart. He went back to Stanford. He has other income besides what he's getting from the NFL. Maybe he does not feel he should be supporting her spending habits and laziness. Sheree has to learn how to stand on her own and how to invest. She could've had so much money saved up, invested, if she wouldn't have been so lazy intellectually. And maybe that's why he ended up divorcing her. |

OK, it is possible to have kids and obtain a college degree or a trade! I have always been told don't depend on no man for money! Have your own money, as a woman I know the importance of having your own and not fully depending on a man to get by. That right there is being weak to me. Why can't you be young, beautiful, married to a successful man AND educated at once! Just because your husband has deep pockets should not mean you should neglect yourself and not plan ahead for your future for just in case god forbid you get divorced or the bread winner dies! Ladies you have to be smarter than that! Lots of women make that mistake when they get a husband that makes way more money then they do, the husband then convinces the wife to give up her career, have his kids and just go shopping and to the spa with the girls all day! We are worth more than shopping money! Get your education ladies! I highly reccomend it! I did and I feel a whole lot safer due to how our economy is now! It's just an Associates Degree but its like having the golden ticket in my eyes! I don't feel sorry for women that are stuck in a marriage because they neglected to look past the husbands and kids needs and just catered to them and didn't get their self right. It depending on your lifestyle, and where you live, it's not a lot of money. In divorces where one spouse doesn't work, the other spouse is to provide the standard of living the spouse was formerly accustomed to. IF the non working spouse has no education, then the other spouse is to provide MORE. Sorry, that's just the name of the game. Now, not only is Whitfield looking forward to the hotly-anticipated second season of the show, the mother of three is also excited about something more personal: hitting the market again as a single lady. At her birthday party at Atlanta hot spot Utopia, Sheree spoke to PEOPLE about her impending divorce, her upcoming fashion line and the status of her relationship with Nene. - Isoul H. Harris The show is a bonafide hit. How has your life changed?
My life [is] absolutely fabulous. I have received a lot of positive feedback. I was so amazed at how many people watch the show. I knew the gay guys would watch, but so many straight guys watch it, old men, young men, older women and younger women. I love it! It's been a great ride so far.
Do you think the show portrayed you accurately?
Hopefully, the editors, [next] time around, will allow people to see more of who I am as a person and instead of everything being so one-sided. I am a mom. I am a sister. I am a daughter. I am friend. I am all of those things and the character on television is not me everyday. There is a softer side to me and I hope the editors relay that next season. I feel they did what they had to do to make a great show and they did that. The ratings are off the chain! That is me that you see, yes, but it's not who I am everyday. They focus on one aspect of my personality.
How are your relationships with your cast mates?
The other ladies and I are forever bonded. We are family. We all have very strong personalities and we respect each other.
You and Nene were once great friends and then things took a downward spiral. What about now?
Nene is fine. But we don't hang out. We are cordial.
How is your divorce coming? Are you looking forward to being single again?
We are in the final stages of the divorce and the settlement and I cannot wait to be single and hot again! I feel like I am single already because we have been separated for at least three or four years. I am just ready to do my thing and focus on me, my kids, my family and friends.
Does it bother you when people comment on your life?
At first it did bother me. People think they know you just from seeing an hour of your life on television. They think they know your whole story. No one is perfect. We all make mistakes and we all have had a past.
Do you watch The Real Housewives of Orange County?
When I was chosen for the show, I started watching The Real Housewives of Orange County and I thought it was great. They show the ladies in a great light. But, I have not had time to watch the new season. I have been so consumed by everything that I am doing, so I have not had time for television.
It's rumored that Dorys Erving, the wife of basketball legend Julius "Dr. J" Erving will join the cast next season. Is that true and has filming begun?
I heard that as well and I think it would be a great addition to the show. I am completely open. We have not started filming the second season yet, but it's coming soon.
How is your fashion line, SHE by Sheree, coming?
It's awesome. It is a fall '09 delivery and I am excited about it. That is what I am. I am fashion. It's second nature to me. I am also writing a book and doing a workout video. To have gone through the things that I have gone through and be where I am today and shine it's great. 2009 is Sheree's year.

Melania: I almost slapped this black sales chick in Barney's back in October. FIRST OF ALL I wish I would pay $200 for a knit hat that doesn't even keep your head warm, and I have money to burn. Secondly, there was a guy outside selling hats for $30 that were better and warmer than what they were selling for $200. People are so gullible, although a lot of high-end stores do have high-end products, I saw no difference between the knit hat in Barneys' and the knit hats in Marshall's. I'll be darned if I pay for the name and get the same product I could've gotten at a lower end store. I know that Bill gates and Warren Buffet don't shop at Barney's Gucci or Louis Vuitton, and they're the richest men in America, so other people need to take a leson from that, but those salesclerks at Barneys almost got it--i've never had a problem at Bergdorf Goodman, and I love their shoes, but the thing is, I've found nice shoes that were better in style to me for $35-$80 right on the internet. Spending a lot of money on things that don't appreciate is NEVER WISE, and big spenders usally end up BROKE! |
