He lives mainly in Ethiopian and employees many people there and is involved in a lot of philanthropy. Al Amoudi has focused his East African investments on Ethiopia since the mid-1980s. MIDROC Ethiopia was created in 1994. He is strongly committed to Ethiopia, especially job creation and infrastructure capacity building. He is the largest private investor in Ethiopia (More than US$1 billion) , putting money into such diverse assets as a hotel, gold mines and a food processing plant. He donated 20 million USD over a ten year period to Clinton Foundation HIV/AIDS Initiative in Ethiopia. He donated millions of dollars to help a hospital get built in an under served section of the country. He has built a 140-bed health care facility and supports visual impairment, disabled, children's health and poverty alleviation programmes. In the education arena, he provides overseas scholarships and is a patron of the Ethiopian arts. He also funds one of the biggest soccer tournaments( The CECAFA Senior Challenge Cup which was renamed after him) in Africa.
For those who are interested he is married with I believe 8 children (each child can get a billion when he passes) but although he is married he is known to have girlfriends. One of those chicks is in London for college paid for by him.

I get so disgusted when i hear people especially Americans talk bad about Nigeria. Dont talk about us if you havent been to Nigeria because al you do is watch TV and believe al the lies! Im a Nigerian and live in the country so let me put it straight to you. Nigeria no doubt has some corrupt people, the economy isnt developed, we have some poor people despite our oil money. But this is a country that got independence from Britain in 1960, we got our first democratic president in 1999. The democracy is stil young. The country is 48 years old and the democracy is just 10 years old. America is over a hundred years old and is stil battling with racism, stealing of wealth from other countries like Iraq, corruption as the case of the Illinois governor who tried to sel Obamas seat. So every country in this world had a past filled with corruption, theft, wars and violence. Nigerians are warm, friendly and hard working people. Dangote is a well known man in Nigeria. This is someone who borrowed 700,000 naira($6,000) from his uncle to trade in cement. Today he has the 3rd largest cement plant in the world and the second largest sugar plant in the world! I'm very proud of Motsepe being that he is South african and i'm south african. He has grown his wealth beyond anyone could ever imagine. And those who say that its a hell hole in Africa its not true yes most of Africa there is wars and starvation but not everyone is living like that i'm living in South africa and i'm loving it i'd like to visit other countries as i believe it would increase my knowledge of the world but i don't want to ever completley live anywhere else but here so no not all of Africa is a hell hole. |

Yeah, my Nigerian friend always says her family there believes Americans are so rich and that America is so beautiful, until they come to visit. Likewise, I have a South African friend who went back home to live and is enjoying herself on the sandy beaches, etc. America ain't all it's cracked up to be and Africa is not as poor a place as Americans have believed. Yet still, there are deeply inhumane injustices that stick out in our minds. We know that it's important for Africans and African-Americans to stick together, but we each have to take care of home before we can do that successfully. |

1/ Wealthy people who give money do not need to shout about or name a charity organisation after themselves to massage their own egos. Most celebrities by their nature want to be noticed and love the fame, so set up charities in their own name, which costs more money than giving that money to an already existing charity. Although more could be done by the billionaires right down to those NBA ballers to help all 'black people' over he world.
2/ Ethopians are black people! If you studied African American and Ethoians DNA you would probably find them to be more 'black' than most African Americans! One drop rule suited whites in slave countries during slavery, but since the end of savery they have been practicing DIVIDE AND RULE! WAKE UP PEOPLE PLEASE!

4/ There are may more black billionaires who's wealth cannot be confirmed,in some cases due to fraud. Clara africans do not steal jobs from Afcan Americans if more African Americans were qualified they would get the jobs, honey.
