Okay let me give you some insight as to why this happened
As a former BBW and proud advocate for loving yourself no matter who you are, I can tell you from experience, her role as hating skinny girls was no act. Many on this particular site have stated that she secretly wanted to be skinny, well Iím here to set the record straightÖitís really not a secret. However, when you have been a BBW all of your life and you have finally accepted that you are a big girl and there is nothing you can do about it, you not only tell the world, but you tell yourself that you are happy with who you are! The reason why itís so important to do that is for your self esteem and for your own happiness. You have no idea how it feels like not having the ability to control your body or your emotions. How cruel people are when they see that you are different, how free people are to criticize you and your apparent addition that everyone can see. You have no idea how it feels like to crave and desire food so much that it consumes your entire life. So what do you do, you turn that feeling outward and make everyone else feel guilty for not wanting to be big and beautiful, and you canít knock her hustle for getting everyone to accept fat people and see that we are not bad people, we just have bad eating habits and yes bad genes, because I have seen it myself, two gastric bypass patients still have a fat baby Ė trust me itís in the genes!!!
Anyway, you get to a point where the weight gets to be so bad that clothes donít fit, activity is limited and breathing gets difficult and at that point you really donít have any other choice but to do something drastic about it and most of the time if you have reached that point, that biggest loser thing is not going to work because somehow that leaves room for human error, meaning you can stop working out and start eating again, whereas, Gastric Bypass Surgery serves as a more permanent commitment and doesnít give you the choice to eat and forces you make better decisions and that is what I ended up doing after I reached a total of 315lbs at the age of 35 yrs old. I am now 40 years old looking fabulous at a size 10, eating is limited and I exercise regularly which I couldnít do at my former weight and proud to have made the decision to have the surgery even though people say it was the easy way out YOU MUST BE KIDDING? Taking a chance of death to lose weight is not easy decision, making the effort to exercise when before you almost went into cardiac arrest, or possibly facing other health risks if you decide to be stupid and over eat, so no IT IS NOT THE EASY WAY OUT OR AN EASY DECISION. So Monique decided to put herself first, good for her and good for her health - so donít knock her hustle!
