January 19, 2009. MediaTakeOut.com just got wind of an EXPLOSIVE article out of a UK newspaper. According to the report, interracial relationships are on the rise in the U.K. So much so that the report suggests that Black folk, and in particular Caribbean Black folk, are in danger of disappearing altogether.

Here’s a piece of the report:

One in 10 children in the UK belongs to a mixed-race family, according to a new report.

The study predicts that if current trends continue, some ethnic minorities may disappear as people from mixed race backgrounds become increasingly common.

And the article continues:

It shows some ethnic groups are much more likely to have mixed-race relationships.

Figures show 48 per cent of Black Caribbean men and 34 per cent of Black Caribbean women are in mixed-race relationships.

This is in contrast to people from Pakistani backgrounds, where 8 per cent of men and 6 per cent of women are in mixed relationships.

The report states: 'Those who define themselves as singularly Caribbean are likely to decline over time, as increasingly complex heritages emerge among those with some element of Caribbean descent.'

Now y'all know that we ain't got NOTHING against interracial relationships. But Black folk disappearing altogether … that just don't sound right…

Even in the year 2040 when 90% of us are mixed race, there will still be "black people", even if they do not call themselves, or identify with it. My dad's side of the family are all quadroon mulattoes, and they appear to be all white. My uncle whom is 25% black had a daughter with a 100% Swedish woman and their daughter whom is only 12.5% Black appears to be atleast 50%. Her hair is very curly and black, her skin is light caramel brown, and her eyes are the darkest shade of brown, nearly black. My uncle looks like Jim Carey except he has blue eyes. My cousin got none of that. This is the norm and it's impossible for any phenotype to die out.

The apathy of many Euro-whites is merely daily rat-race busyness, too busy with demanding careers, earning a livelihood and paying unprecedented taxes to the welfare state. No time to analyze America's suicidal racial transformation. And nightly TV, with its constant racial-diversity propaganda, lulls them into comfortable acquiescence. A final reason for white apathy: appeasement to angry non-white activists seems a slight price for peace and security. Or wake up from apathy to their altruistic blunder much too late. By mid-century, two generations of Euro-white young will be fully indoctrinated into Government centralized power and racial dogma. If Euro-whites fail to awaken in time to change the nation's course, the following details of Scenario 1 are logical and readily anticipated projections deep into the next century. "Big Brother" and Compassionate Martial Law Well before 2050 the gradual reinterpretation and deconstruction of the Constitution will be completed, totally opposite its original meaning and principles. Centralized Government power and cultural Marxism will be firmly in control of every state, community and individual in America.(2) Court rulings and presidential Executive Orders (EOs), already in 2000 authorizing martial law in Government-defined emergencies, will proliferate into a police-state web. The crime waves, school shootings, terrorist bombings, racial tensions and drug trafficking, rampant in the 1990s, provide the pretence for accelerated Government police operations â€” and the usual tax hikes to finance them. For efficient law enforcement and its central coordination, the U.S. armed services will expand to control, then later replace, civilian police nationwide. This de facto repeal of the Posse Comitatus Act of 1878 (amplifying the 4th Amendment to protect citizens from federal armed might) began in the late 1980s, then accelerated by presidential EOs into a U.S. "protective" police state.(9) Federal data bases, especially at the IRS (Internal Revenue Service), FBI (Federal Bureau of Investigation) and CIA (Central Intelligence Agency), will record every detail of private lives, all subject to Government scrutiny as federal protection of the people requires. Federal agents, powered with high-technology electronics and satellites, will routinely monitor e-mail and Web sites, search homes and businesses for evidence of criminal or seditious activity (as defined by Government), especially computer hard disks. The "Human Genome" project, completed in early century, soon fills government files with the complete genetic DNA code of all citizens, linked to their social security numbers, IRS and FBI files. Encryption in all private communication is outlawed. Tiny video cameras monitor everyone in offices, factories, agencies and targeted private homes suspected of criminal or seditious activity. As dramatized in the Orwellian world of 1984, suspects include everybody. The creepy feeling of being watched fades into an accepted way of life. The evolution of the nation into benign statism is so gradual, by so small and seemingly do-good increments, that it's scarcely noticed. People slowly "get used to" the harmless trade-off of personal freedoms for universal Government security and protection. Few even recognize the radical transformation unfolding; then everyone is inadvertently a part of it. In this crawling and novel form of statism, chipping away slowly at liberties (best termed "totalitarian democracy" as voters support a "Big Brother" saviour), early group-think mind-training of the young in Government schools embeds a trusting love for the all-caring, paternalistic "Uncle Sam, protector of the people."(10) With private ownership of firearms long ago outlawed and prompt prosecution of "enemies of the state" routine, crime rates will decrease sharply as will all other dangerous behaviour, especially political dissent. Government-controlled media and propaganda in schools condition the public to accept regimentation as protection against crime and sedition. But Government never ignores the need of people, even if not truly free, to at least feel free. Thus superficial but satisfying illusions of freedom and choice satiate this need in well-stocked malls, food stores, welfare perks and non-stop escapist entertainment, especially high-hyped TV sports specials and musical extravaganzas. Even long-entrenched sexual freedoms since the 1990s are tolerated in a wide variety of "alternative lifestyles" (a citizen's preoccupation with his pornography, fetishes or a "gay" marriage is no threat to core Government doctrine and a convenient distraction from its central goals).However, genuine and core freedoms, such as political dissent, can not be tolerated. All such are incompatible with a safe and stable nation â€” and are ended. Especially freedom of speech. Freedom of Speech Muted "Hate-crime" laws of the 1990s expand into "hate-speech" laws punishing all "politically incorrect" criticism of core Government policies, especially its civil-rights and racial-integration dogmas. "Racist," defined by federal laws, broadens to include any reference to "white rights" of any sort or resistance to anti-discrimination norms (for example, a white father discouraging white-black dating is instantly a racist suspect; so is his daughter for declining the date). The many traditional groups of the 1990s, arguing for fair pro-white solutions such as peaceable separation of the races, will be harshly equated with "white supremacists" and similarly criminalized. The more vocal and leading dissidents will be assigned by Government doctors to psychiatric wards for rehabilitation as "mental health victims" (a benign version of the former USSR's Gulag). Any talking or speech perceived by Government as "racist," even in one's own home, is outlawed. Such speech became criminalized in Britain and parts of Europe as far back as the 1990s.(11) Freedom of speech and thought will disappear into a public atmosphere more sophisticated but identical in effect to the 17th-century Salem witch hunts when fear of prohibited words or associations silenced everyone into doctrinal uniformity. No one dared speak up to defend an accused witch (fearful of being branded a witch himself). In 21st-century America, no one will defend anyone branded a "racist" for fear he will be so branded himself and lose his career â€” or worse. School children will routinely be coaxed in "patriotism" sessions to report any "un-American" talk heard at home (children in Salem often indicted their own parents by merely and grimly pointing at them). In a labyrinthine web of surveillance and intimidation, countless civil-rights compliance units will monitor all citizens and organizations to detect and purge any political deviance. Government as Parent and Teacher Early in the next century most parents and adults, male and female, will be fulltime in the workforce. This becomes Government policy aimed at national economic strength, enhanced tax revenue and generously subsidized prosperity for citizens. A nationwide federal system of day-care centers and K-12 schools fills the parenting void, training the young in "political correctness" and the skills needed for the economy. Behavior-modification methods and mental-health screening, initiated in the 1990s, insure orthodox thinking.(12) Homeschooling, soaring exponentially about 2005, is banned as disguised teaching of early-age discrimination, meritocracy and racial inequality. Private schools disappear except for a select few Government-approved and closely monitored. The original right to equal opportunity for academic or economic success and social status is converted into the right to actual egalitarian outcome (equality of results, all citizens provided equal standards of living in a non-discriminating society). Government civil-rights policy continues to be reinforced lifelong by mandatory diversity and sensitivity training courses in all work places. Many Hues of Brown The most drastic transformation of America in Scenario 1 is its population. By century's end, America will be a non-white nation, Euro-whites relatively few â€” or none. America in the 1950s was 90% Euro-white. Demographic experts agree on the following projections and future look of America. In 2025 62% will be Euro-white, 38% non-white. 	I am from the UK and I must admit that there are a lot of interracial relationships here. But I think you tend to notice it more here as ethnics groups only represent 7% of the population. I have a black friend who has two kids with a white woman and he acts like they're just so gorgeous because their mixed and in all honesty they're barely even average looking (I'm awful, I know). 	It is highly possible that black people will be extinct in the UK, because it is already a small country with a low number of black citizens. And interracial relationships are very common in that country. As far as the one-drop rule, that was back in the day, when almost everyone followed that silly "rule". Whites did create it so that they wouldn't have to acknowledge a black person, or part-black person, as one of their own; and yes, blacks had no choice but to accept those who were half-white. But to still hold on to such an old and ridiculous ideology is simply ignorant and doesn't show the progressiveness of the human race. And to state that black is the dominant gene is very silly. People, now, have the right to consider themselves as whatever race they want. Some even look like they don't have a drop of black blood in them; so who's going to keep "blackness" alive? The reason race relations are different in Europe than to the USA is because the USA was built on slavery and immigration. Remember, America was originally the Native American's land (I refuse to use "Indian" as that was Christopher Columbus' terminology as he was looking for Indian during his discovery.) Race has always been an important issue in America, from segregation to slavery. Hence the reason that black pride is more apprrent there as Blacks were forced to do that out of survival. The civil rights movement was black power at it's pinnacle. Now in the UK, despite what history books may lie say to you, blacks have been there for centuries... but the only real time that black people's presence was truly felt was after the second world war. Many Brits were cool with black folk being here if they were helping kill those Nazis but once the war was over they were like "Thank you blackies, you can píss back off now." Brits have this chip on their shoulder like they don't owe blacks anything compared to the Euro-Americans who robbed Native Americans of their land, forced black people into slavery and had segregation. THATS THE DIFFERNCE. S So in many ways, Europeans see blacks as inferior and nothing to fear while Americans feel that the worst thing that could happen is the Black man regaining his iron fist and taking over. Hence the reason race is much more important to Americans than Brits. And that's the reason interracial relations are so common in the UK. Sadly, many of my brothers don't have an "Obama" or "Malcom X" too look up to. So they date non-black women to cover their self-esteem issues. Thankfully, I grew up in a strong black household. My g/f is from the Carribbean and I'm gonna make sure we have a whole football team of kids. Black is beautiful, don't ever get that twisted. Stay strong my people.

	I am not a proponent of IRR…but, if you believe IRR is the reason why the black gene pool has been dwindling, then you people are fools. To successfully fade out the black race, would require 3 to 4 generation of race mixing…but to fade out the white race would require only 1 generation. As it stands, the establishment understands the power and resiliency of that dark melanin…the ability to absorbed 2x as much vitamin D from the sun in half the amount of UV exposure…subsequently, being less prone to skin cancer. The establishment is not prepared to wipe out this natural advantage, unless it has in its arsenal a better replacement. And if it does have a better replacement, it is not through IRR that the black race will be faded out…this method proves too inefficient and less predictable. I am out.

If they have children together, the kids would not seen as black by Latin American society. I believe that slowly becoming the truth in the U.S. Nowadays you can not always tell someone's race just by looking. Blacks who used to be stringent that mixed race people called themselves black, have now become very lax and lenient on how mixed race people define themselves. Then there are blacks who have never accepted mixed race people as black. We have all met them. The black folks who thought that Mariah Carey videos should not be played on BET and black radio. The black folks who thought that Tiger Woods was right to call himself "cablinasian." The black folks who think that Barack Obama is not black enough because he has a white mother. Last but not least, the black people who believe if you can not use an Afro pick in your hair, then you are not black. All in all I believe it is futile to try and enforce this "one drop rule." It is an old archaic racist belief. It is like saying being in any way partially black is a stain. Mixed race (of any combination) people should be allowed to define themselves. 	I'm with ya', Almasez. I just did a city cleanup in Philly this mornin' (for the holiday) and on the subway ride back, was thinking about the reflection of our Black image. How depressed people look, stepping onto the local. Granted, its a Monday mornin, but still, I see it every day. Black pride and black love are two concepts that seem to be slipping away right now and there isn't any one person who'll bring them back to prominence. Its gonna take all of us. I've always told people, I feel blessed to have parents who taught and showed me (through example) the meaning of both Black pride and Black love. Its why I still have faith in it as collapses all around me. You're right about the "disconnect". The film Not Easily Broken does a good job at showing what I've been trying to say for a while. BW & BM are in a new era, a new power shift, but not everyone is on the same page with it or they don't know how to deal with it. The "American Way" dictates that the man comes in and sweeps the woman off their feet. But somewhere along the lines, Black men and women have been struggling to stay on their own feet, Black (and other) women stepped their game up and worked to become self-sufficient. By the time us brothas come singin', "Here I come to save the dayyy!" (not really) we get thrown off key by this "who do you think you are" stuff and don't always know how to deal or adjust. Its a "power struggle" sometimes, as one "diva" once put it. Sometimes BM don't want or know how to deal with the new and improved, stronger Black woman (who sometimes come off a little too "strong"), and might look elsewhere. At the same time, BW might get tired of or feel threatened by BM's hustle as it infringes on their position of power. I'm seeing more women afraid of commitment now due to this fear. Another American way is this "us and them" stuff. From race relations to romatic relationships, our swagger gets us caught up in looking out for number one sometimes in spite of our number one. There are times when people gotta put themselves first and other times when they can afford to put others' concerns before theirs. Again, the relationship is all about communicating. We're not communicating like we need to.

The census bereau allows you to choose...but "biracial" is not an option..other than if you write it in as a combination. Choosing a group adds to that population and shows strength. Tiger Woods is a prime example. Blacks are generally more accepting of an interacial person identifying as black, so what is the issue. 	From looking at some of these posts i can definitely see there's a lack of knowledge about black people over here in the UK. As a black British female, inter-racial relationships are on the rise. 50% of black CARIBBEAN (note how i wrote Caribbean in capitals, as people seem to be using the "umbrella" term "black" when its specifically Caribbean Males) are with white females. The same cannot be said about black females. Please believe though that there are still a fair group of people who will not date out of their race for reasons such as family or cultural reasons. The UK, specifically London is i would say one of the most diverse cities in the world, and its a beautiful thing. Inter-racial couples are more accepted here and no longer has stigma attached to it. As for the term "mixed race." These children may view themselves as being mixed race, however are viewed upon as being "black" by the media and other onlookers. Hence why there's a large amount of black and mixed race children that need fostering in this country, many white couples are not up for it as they view the child as "black" so they advertise through the niche newspapers that appeal to the black community to foster these children. The term "mixed race" is something people over here embrace. Having, "the best of both worlds," "a hybrid identity" e.t.c., but many many mixed race children socialize and can associate more with their black peers. Also, this article is true, its from the BBC! I don't believe the black race will die out though. The culture will always remain very much alive...

Africans who sold other Africans into slavery were well aware of what they were doing and how those enslaved African individuals were being treated by whites and Arabs. They had no problems with it because they were doing it themselves with the slaves they owned themselves. I often find it funny that some black people will try to justify African slavery compared to American & Middle Eastern slavery, by saying it was not as bad or it was more humane or that the slaves "were like members of the family." Whether or not slaves were treated as harsh as the slaves in the U.S., the point is that slavery was and is wrong in all it's forms.

	Well I just wanted to say, despite the African-American condition in America, most African-Americans marry and have kids with each other. Even though our people have been brainwashed some, we are still smart and know who we are. I dont think most African-Americans will marry outside of their race. Racism is what keeps African-American's black. They one drop rule here in America, created by white america to keep them pure! My friend is bi-racial and he lives in a white town, married to a white girl, but still calls himself black. In america, when you have visible black ancestry, you are considered black. I also wanted to say that most mixed people marry black, most have a strong sense of being biracial and being black at the same time as they get older! To be honest with you, I usually cant tell the mixed apart form the creole black's, or the light-skinned African-Amerian's! I am brown skinned, one sister is Light-brown(caramel) my other is dark-medium. Both my parents are light-brown tone, different than my light brown sister. You see, most blacks are mixed and a lot dont know it as well. Some people I have known that look like Vanessa Williams actually do think they are not mixed with white anywhere in their family that I know , I am serious! You ask Lisa Raye ( The playas club), is she mixed, she will look at you funny, even though she is obviousely mixed with someting. 	To dcboi: First of all, last time i checked President Obama is Multicultural and he did acknowledge that he is mixed 50% white from his mother and 50% black from his African father. I don't believe he is confused about what he is. He just have to take a look at his parents. To TexasGlamourChic: Well of course he thinks that, he too is mixed, he's part Chinese from his grandfather. And this isn't a new thing in the Carribean or even in South America, those places have always had mixed people and they dont' look at it as they do over here. You people are aware that the Civil Rights Movement was only really happening over here with the black and white separation. It wasn't happening in London or the Carribean and that's why it's only suprising to you people that there are so many mix people in other countries. And it's not just blacks that's hookig up with whites in other countries, it's Chinese and blacks, Indians and Spanish, Blacks and Italian, etc. Why is always black and white over here, you people should probably get a pastport and do some more traveling and realize that you are the ones left behind by this mix thing that has been going on for centries on other continents. That's why people like Seal and Heidi Klum can get together and they dont' take the mix thing so serious as some of you do, b/c where there from it's just a man and a woman getting together. 	You guys are all wrong. "Black" is not dominant. I thought you idiots learned aboiut Gregor Mendel and his pea plants in high school? Maybe you didn't finish? Anyway, there's a little thing called codominance that this man proved. It's the reason there are pink flowers when red and white flowers are present or in this case, children of lighter hue when two mates one of light and another of dark complexion mate and make babies. The "white" allele and "black" allele are both dominant genes. Hence the reason the children are seldom (I hear there are rare cases that "defy" these rules) the same color as either the mother or father but somewhere in between the two. If you look into a taxonomy book (which I doubt any of you have) you will see that whether you're black, white, Asian, Hispanic, Middle Eastern, Indian and so on you are considered Homo sapiens. H. sapiens (fortunately... and unfortunately) are considered to be the most intelligent beings, given their ability to reason and use advanced resources (metal) to survive. Because of our use of tools made from the world's recources we are the most adaptable (well... not you guys. The only change you want is a black president which may I remind you is of white AND black descent) species. Able to live just about anywhere in the world given our technology is available to us. You don't have to be black or white. In science we are all the same race. Our skin color is simply a trait - an allele of our race. Since the allele can and does codominate with another, it proves we are even more the same.
