I am a pro-choice gal; however, this disturbs me as well. The baby was born alive....breathing and they did not call 911. They put a breathing, living person into a garbage bag and allowed it to suffocate.

This girl could have been raped, abused, or could have made a stupid decision. The point is, we don't know her situation so those comments shouldn't be made about this woman. I mean waiting 23 weeks into the pregnancy wasn't a very good idea on her part, but like I said. I'm a college freshman and I work with females in a support group on personal issues such as these. A lot of women (a VERY large majority) contemplating an abortion took almost every precaution out there from condoms to Plan-B (the morning after pill)to prevent pregnancy and promote safe sex, but they still ended up pregnant. All I'm saying is comments like those cause a lot of young women unneeded pressure. They already have to deal with the emotional effects not to mention the painful physical effects they experience as well. |
