Well I don't really know if the law on domestic violence varies by state but in Texas it doesn't matter whether you drop the charges or not...the state will pick them back up and his ass will still get locked up, especially if they have physical evidence...she doesn't even have to show up in court because they don't need her, all they need is photos and maybe a witness. Herpes simplex type-1 doesn't TURN into Herpes simplex type-2! LMFAO They're two similar (sharing 50-70& of their DNA) but DIFFERENT viruses. Herpes simplex type-1 commonly affects the mouth and face but can also be transmitted to the genitals. It's still TYPE-1 though, just located on the genitals. IE, genital herpes can be caused by either type-1 OR type-2.
We don't know what type Rihanna has on her lip, or who gave it to her. She could have contracted it from kissing Chris or performing oral sex on him. She could have contracted it in childhood as many children do from their parents kissing them or from an infected child at school when kids put their mouths on everything. Point is, most people have some form of herpes and the majority of the population (estimated 80-90%) has type-1 because it's a highly contagious virus!
You people should be ashamed for branding Rihanna as some filthy, cheating 'whore' because she's unlucky in that she has outbreaks and your ass just probably is lucky not to get them. Not having a sore doesn't mean you're 'clean' and you will most likely never know b/c providers do not typically diagnose herpes through blood tests but through VISUAL diagnosis. So many people have it and for the most part it's not dangerous, so it's not seen as cost effective by health care insurances to cover blood testing for herpes.

It appears to me that this relationship is over and she is desperate to hang on to it. I think she has actually developed a bit of an obsession and love/hate relationship with this boy. She probably initiated the physical altercation, then identified him to police in anger (hate) and now that the dust settled, she doesn't want him in trouble (love). That is so pointless to me, he hits you, the police get called, you tell them he hit you, they arrest him, you don't want to cooperate or file charges even though you already told the police it was him??? It reminds me of my theory of unmarried couples living together: I believe you should be MARRIED before you cohabitate, but on the flipside, I'm at your home 3 nights a week, you're at my home 3 nights a week for free. That's 6 nights were spending together, yet were paying for living at 2 different residences. Might as well have you here 7 nights a week paying every damn thing. Herpes simplex type-1 doesn't TURN into Herpes simplex type-2! LMFAO They're two similar (sharing 50-70& of their DNA) but DIFFERENT viruses. Herpes simplex type-1 commonly affects the mouth and face but can also be transmitted to the genitals. It's still TYPE-1 though, just located on the genitals. IE, genital herpes can be caused by either type-1 OR type-2.
We don't know what type Rihanna has on her lip, or who gave it to her. She could have contracted it from kissing Chris or performing oral sex on him. She could have contracted it in childhood as many children do from their parents kissing them or from an infected child at school when kids put their mouths on everything. Point is, most people have some form of herpes and the majority of the population (estimated 80-90%) has type-1 because it's a highly contagious virus!

The Basics
Genital herpes is a disease caused by the herpes simplex virus (HSV), of which there are two types. Type 1 (HSV-1) usually causes oral herpes, an infection of the lips and mouth. Symptoms are commonly known as cold sores or fever blisters. In the past, HSV-1 was not known to cause genital herpes, but that is changing, especially among people who begin having sex at a young age. Still, in most cases, genital herpes is caused by the second type of herpes virus (HSV-2).
HSV-2 lives in the nerves. When it's active, it travels to the surface of the infected area (skin or mucous membrane) and makes copies of itself. This is called "shedding" because these new viruses can, at this time, rub off on another person. Then the virus travels back down the nerve to a ganglion (mass of nerve tissue), usually at the base of the spine, where it lies dormant for a while.
Who Gets Genital Herpes?
About one-fifth of all people aged 12 and up in the U.S. are infected with the HSV-2 virus that causes genital herpes, but as many as 90% don't know it. (By comparison, experts estimate 50% to 80% of adults have oral herpes.)
More women than men are infected -- one in four women compared with one in five men. One reason may be that the virus can infect a woman's genitals more easily than it can a man's. Genital herpes is more common among blacks than it is among whites, and it becomes more common as people age. The more sex partners people have, the more common it is, too.
How Is Herpes (Oral or Genital) Spread?
HSV-1 is usually passed from person to person by kissing. HSV-1 can also spread from the mouth to the genitals during oral sex (fellatio, cunnilingus, analingus). If this happens, it becomes a case of genital herpes.
HSV-2 is most often passed by vaginal sex and anal sex. But just as HSV-1 can infect the genitals and cause genital herpes, HSV-2 can pass from one person's genitals to another person's mouth, resulting in oral herpes.
HSV-2 cannot survive long on a non-living surface, so there is no real risk of getting it from a toilet seat or hot tub, for example. |

It's really sad when you think about it - that a woman can love someone who's beating her more than she loves herself.
I remember when I was in the 6th grade, my neighbor beat his wife. There were three men outside who did nothing but chit chat after the incident... having a jolly time about whatever they were discussing. My mother was the only one who said anything. She asked these men how could they sit there and do nothing. The next day, the woman was back in the house with the same man who beat her a.s.s. the day before and my mother felt stupid for coming to her defense. She understood why men do nothing in these situations... why interfere when most of the time, the women go back anyway? It's ridiculous. It's a lesson learned as well for me, but I let that piece of s.h.i.t. know that he was going to have his freedom and he walked away. There is nothing "cute" or lovey dovey about a black eye and bruised body. :-| Women who think that's love need psychological help. |

If this story is indeed true... it's just appalling to me. I cannot fathom being in a relationship that abusive and esp at that age. I can't even wrap my mind around it. I wonder what his family life was like? Instead, the normally affectionate twosome were embroiled in a domestic violence drama that left Brown, 19, booked on felony criminal threats charges and posting $50,000 bail after turning himself in to the LAPD on Sunday at 6:34 p.m. PST.
Sources say that Rihanna (real name: Robin Fenty), 20, was the victim in the alleged assault which occurred around 12:30 a.m. on Sunday. Responding to a 911 call about a disturbance, the LAPD took statements from a female with visible injuries, who named Brown as her attacker.
Just hours after the incident, witnesses spotted Brown and Rihanna leaving the London Hotel together around 7:30 a.m. on Sunday.
Later that evening, during the Grammy telecast for which both Brown and Rihanna were no-shows, bodyguards for the couple were seen moving their luggage out of the London.
The ramifications of BrownÕs arrest? Already charged with making criminal threats Ð defined in part as a situation where the victim Òis in fear for [his/her] lifeÓ Ð the R&B singer may face additional charges at the discretion of L.A.Õs district attorneyÕs office.
To help him face the legal storm, Brown has hired attorney Mark Geragos, best known for defending convicted murderer Scott Peterson, Winona Ryder after a 2001 shoplifting arrest and Michael Jackson during his child molestation trial.

Rumored to be a couple towards the end of 2007, the singers were first photographed at the Grammys on Feb. 10, 2008. Often coy about their yearlong relationship, the two consistently refused to talk about their romance during interviews.
But the pair offered up other signs of their closeness, from matching star tattoos on their necks to holding hands and kissing at concerts.
