Here's an excerpt of that interview. Given the recent charges against Chris Brown, it's worth a re-read:

I don't think Chris brown would ever raise his hand to a woman unless she put herself in the place of a man, and on a basis of what i've heard Rihanna deserved to get smacked in the face atleast one good time. I am extremely disappointed with the justification of hitting a woman. A man hits 10 times harder than a woman. The fact that she was heard screaming to alarm the neighbors and had to spend 2 days at the hospital says a lot. If this was your daughter I guarantee your comment would take a different tone.
it takes a man with a broken heart to hurt a woman he loves that if he did love her. one of the comment i read on this page said that he grew up seing someone close to him being abused, this might i had an affect on him now that his grown up his got the metality of an abuser. well on the other hand, she might have done something wrong or in many cases abused him aswell and this pushed him to put his hands on her. i know it is very wrong for a man to hit a girl but sometime girls go too far.
To be honest I am glad that someone is finally presenting this side of the story. Rihanna has a HISTORY of violent fights with men in her life, and this isn't the first one. She has a history of domestic violence in her life as well as Chris.
I'm not condoning what Chris did (And these reports of he beat her to a pulp are LIES). But I am saying, one has to ask one's self...if she would take a GLASS BOTTLE...A GLASS BOTTLE...to her own brother's face...and he STILL has the scare if you look at pictures of Rorry, then what else could she do when angry. Furthermore, all this bull about he beat her down, he bit her up, he put marks all on her face is NOT PROVEN. It's a bunch of rumors that have been spread on the internet, on blogs, on websites, everywhere, but not one stitch of it has been proven to be true. And thats the main point. The police report says nothing but marks. These "pictures" of horrific injury that the blogs claim to have...they haven't posted them yet. Do they even exist. The fact is that this whole story has been blown up to paint Chris as a woman beating monster...but nobody has sat down to ask, could he have been provoked by a woman who has admitted she smashed hr brother in the face with a glass bottle.
Now I'm not saying he's right. I'm not saying what he did was validated. I'm not saying he should be excused. I am however saying, that there are some women out there who believe they can jump in a man's face and attack him and beat on him and scratch him and hit him with objects...and he's just supposed to stand there and take it. And even though a man can be raised never to hit a woman, there does come a breaking point. People only have so much self-control. And a man is only gonna let a woman beat on him for so long before that old rule goes out the window and he has to defend himself.
As a woman, I myself have been guilty of jumpin in dude's faces and attacking them and scratching them and smacking them...and thinking "oh i can do this and he BET not hit me back" or "he won't hit me back cuz I'm a woman". Is THAT right? Should it be acceptable for a woman to beat up on a man, and he just stand there and take it all the time.
Who knows WHAT Rihanna did that night. There's a reason she ain't cooperating with the police fully. She may have picked up a blade, she may have had an object, she may have gone bezerk and he was FORCED to respond defensively, and went to far because he's so much bigger than her.

Because both Rihanna and Chris come from broken home families where domestic violence was present. And both Rihanna and Chris have volatile personalities. And Rihanna has admitted multiple times that she gets physical in fights. Her dancers have admitted she has attacked him in the past on tour.
I'm not condoning what he did. But I am saying, try to see the story from BOTH sides instead of believe the exaggerations that have been so far UNPROVEN.
Chris did not beat her to a pulp. Go and look up the LAPD crime report and the charge sheet. NOWHERE does it say he beat her to a pulp. These are lies created by the media.
Should he be punished. SURE! But do not believe this man just decided one day, after being with her for two years damn near, to just attack her out of nowhere. Something led to this. There was provocation.
And I know plenty of women who jump at dudes like they ARE a dude, and expect nothing is going to happen. But you can't try and beat the hell out of dude and think he will just stand there. West Indian women aggressively do hold tempers and are very jealous individuals. Ms Fenty who is known as Rhianna explicitly showcased her masculinity in this relationship. I do think however that Chris Brown knowing how violent the relationship was, should have walked away and allow the law to handle such a situation. Do i think he is a victim no and do i think Rhianna is a victim no, i think both of them are immature and do not know how to love or treat each other as humans. I know being in this industry is tuff but sometimes we need to learn to walk away from situations that can create and cause flaws and pain in our lives. However Rihanna's GRANDMOTHER CIARA BRAITEWORTH gave an interview in Barbados DENYING that Rihanna had a broken jaw or horrific injuries. Look it up. So get your facts straight. Rihanna didn't get beat up. Rihanna got some small facial injuries.

I completely agree with you. NO MAN should have to be abused by a woman. There are cases of men being abused by woman all throughout the country, and most times its because the man has that "I can't hit a woman" belief in his head. And that's ok for regular circumstances. Okay, now we have been hearing, reading, and adding our own opinons as to what really happened between Chris and Rhianna. To be honest I am now over the entire ordeal. They are both grown and know right from wrong. However, I do have issues with comments like the one "darealwifey" left and others that fall in that category. To me they are speaking as if they were really there. We all need to leave the comments and judgements about Chris Brown alone.
Before I go any further let me state that I don't condone physical violence of any kind. I grew up around domestic violence in my home so I know the damage that it can cause. However, everyone is ready be judge, jury, and executioner without knowing what really went down. To tell you the truth I don't want to know because what they do in private or public is none of my business.
We all need to fall back and let what comes of this come to light. True enough he should not have hit even if she did or didn't hit him first. However, there are three sides to this story: his, hers, and God's (which is the truth). Lastly, why are people getting into such an uproar is it because Rhianna has money and is in the lime light. I completely agree. It's clear that alot of woman of here haven't been raised properly. Because in addition to my mother telling my brothers never to put their hands on a woman, my mother also told me never to put my hands on a man.

If they were fighting in the car (and Rihanna is known for fighting in vehicles and yes I am from Barbados), he would have had to do whatever to get her off before she got them killed. I say the bail was too low for there to have been any serious damage done. If it was enough evidence to book him on felony charges...he would not have been released that soon for that amount of money. They wouldnt have released him if they felt he was a threat to her or himself.

This situation that has occurred, is unnecessary and immoral behavior. She is an insensitive young woman whom I use to like until reading this article and other articles about her behavior and the recent altercation between the two celebrities. Any person who clearly boasts about hitting their siblings with any weaponry is an insensitive, cold hearted maniac. she might as well be apprehended and incarcerated for her volatile behavior along with the other freaks. e.q. Chris Brown's behavior does not justify what Rihanna may have done to him, however I believe that any woman who so rightfully feels thats she can acquire the role of a man, threaten him with harm or agression should be treated as one! She is not a victim! She may be an antagonist but who am I to say! and furthermore, why do we as people continue with this notion of women being this helpless victim when at times they are at the epitome of the problem.
I am a strong, educated women and I feel that there are times that you have to compete with your male counterparts to get respect. I messed with a girl who was pretty short-tempered. Beautiful, but short-tempered. This chick was Ethopian. Baddest chick I've ever seen, but when she got mad, she got MAD. If I ever lied to her (she was good at catching it), she would throw heels at me, smack me, kick me, scream in my face...and the most I've ever done was grab her arms and hold her back. I would NEVER touch someone I loved, and I still love the chick to this day. She had a lot of built up anger, and she also had a lot of growing up to do. DESPITE ASSURANCES that Rihanna is fine, developments are pointing to the Bajan superstar as the alleged victim in the domestic violence investigation involving her boyfriend Chris Brown.
While police refused to officially release a statement indicating the victim's identity, new images and documents suggested Rihanna was at the center of the claims.
According to TMZ.com, crime reports indicated the victim's name as Robyn Fenty, Rihanna's birth name.
People.com reported that Los Angeles Police Chief William Bratton said he expected the case would be handed over to the district attorney's office tomorrow and that prosecutors could charge Brown, 19, with more crimes.
Brown, 19, turned himself into police on Sunday for making criminal threats after getting into a heated fight with a then-unidentified woman in a vehicle in Los Angeles that day.
Concerned family members, who declined to be identified, said she was "recovering" and her parents were trying to get her back to Barbados.
